@Darkeyed19 Think of the way stuff crumbles. All pieces shouldn't fall as evenly. Big chunks should hit the ground then crumble. Everything should break up in stages. Not only tiny crumbles moving in unison.

I went over this in another thread. Top really improve, don't rely on mirrored images. Push yourself to draw both sides manually. There is a shadow being cast but no hair highlight. Adding that will really sell the hair not being so flat. Here's a random example of various types.

@walterfast So the problem with the gradient style is that is seems to not have a cohesive light source for the most part because it's more about shading each body part like a column. I drew some arrows showing the many directions the light sources hit the character.

would love to see this character in front of a typical background of your game. To see if it pops enough to be readable Right now, it's a pretty noisy design with all the stuff on it. Anyone else wanna chime in?

This version seems to be going about three times the speed but i can work with it. The first thing I noticed was that the character doesn't seem to have much weight to him. If you see in the example, number 2, is where most of the weight pushes him down so he can spring back up.

@_aaronmzn Would be perfect for this question. Very similar style and snappy attacks. The thing that does help is the lack outlines. Work on really bold keyframes and don't forget to stretch their little limbs. #gamedev #pixelart

@Nit_Pixels for a game i have on hold reworked a character, but one of a very demotivating force was thinking about the amount of time to polish these, times the number of different characters, any advice on how to approach this issue?

Comments are welcome from other pixel artists. I'll start. Megaman series is very anime influenced and I would recommend a higher contrast shading look instead of the dither. I personally think your dithering skills are good but misplaced. Background art would benefit from this
