This sends shivers down my spine. Enough. I come from a country torn by a civil war where 3 nations hated each other post war. We all came to Canada and didn’t burn Canadian flags down in protest of each other. This is NOT OK & should not be tolerated under the guise of “trauma”

My grandfather first said no when government asked him to surrender his children to residential school. He was threatened with jail time and he still said no. But then govt threatened my grandmother with jail time. That is when they finally agreed to send their 14 children. 💔

The RCMP came in. My mom was trembling. The rcmp took me from my mother's lap. (I believe it is called abuction today. ) They took me to the airport. I don't remember, may be we walked to the airport. I would not see my parents for another 10 months.
