Recycling Wednesdays! Every Wednesday Norwood Park Elementary Eco Club runs a paper, cardboard and carton recycling station in our front hall.  Eco Club members sort garbage from recycling and remind students to participate!

HWDSB wishes all those observing a wonderful Eid al-Adha as celebrations begin this evening.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a chance to celebrate individuals and communities in ways that honour their living legacies, ancestors, unique cultures and traditions. As a nation, we have much to learn, many silenced voices to hear, and urgent requests to act upon.

In June, we commemorate Indigenous Peoples Month (National Indigenous History Month) to recognize the heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. As we look at the history, we must work towards reconciliation through peaceful and respectful relationships.

During Pride Month, we recognize and celebrate Two Spirit & LGBTQIA+ contributions and identities, and the allies who stand in solidarity. It's also a time of action; a time to raise awareness about the hate and violence toward Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people and communities.

May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, also known as Red Dress Day. The day brings awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada.
