@Cornell_Slampig I mean, yes, but also, with how much fraud is found in our own elections, imagine how much is in theirs. Not like the Right has much power over there, right? Who would call it out?

@Ramensama926914 @_m1107_ @nmutcracker @Agoristfurry @kon_krazy49523 (2/2) for exceptions to rules to exist, i.e. for there to be children who are mature enough to consent to exist, but by and large 18 is where we as a society decided that most people are now capable of giving consent, while below it we decided they are not.

@Ramensama926914 @_m1107_ @nmutcracker @Agoristfurry @kon_krazy49523 This is a really long thread lol To elaborate on my post, if we didn't have the Age of Consent as a set rule, you'd have pedos arguing that they didn't rape 6 year olds because the 6 year old *totally* consented, and the law would have no recourse. It's possible (1/2)

@bestmangapost Honestly, it should have been played as PTSD for Asuna, since she did almost die in SAO if Kirito had taken any more time than he did. Asuna's mom unplugging her headset while she was logged in should have caused a full PTSD meltdown imo, it could have been a good arc for both.

@darlingstrawbie Notice how it's always "attempting suicide", never actually committing it? Funny how that works. They're good at killing when it's a man who loves them or a defenseless baby, but not when it comes to themselves.

@HorrorGorl In the interest of being at least somewhat in good faith: You ARE aware that the president of France, who is a rabid leftist, just said "there is no freedom if there is no limit to freedom", right? Your side is the one calling for curtailing of freedoms. Sit this one out.

@theschmidtshow Well yeah. The boomers taught their kids to sacrifice their future for their parents, they just didn't think about that impacting them down the line when their kids were willing to sacrifice for their own kids in turn.

@discordspies You're right, men should just invent time machines to go back and stop five years later when the woman retroactively decides she didn't consent long after the fact.

@RevytheTiefling @ExoDust7755 To expound on B, imagine it this way: If you need 50 million to keep something afloat, but the taxes you're raising for it are 40 million, it's easier to expand the taxes to more people than it is to increase the amount you're taking from the current people.

@RevytheTiefling @ExoDust7755 The problem with "just raise taxes on the rich" is that A) the rich just leave if they don't like the tax hikes (offshore bank accounts, for example) B) Inevitably, 'the rich' has to be expanded when the current definition isn't enough to pay for the tax burden.

@Cake_muncher @Jake86339306 @messedupfoods But how long does it sit on a shelf before that 1 use? If it breaks down in a month, and it takes two weeks to be used to pack something inside it, it's only got a shelf life of a week now.

89% percent of baby boomers back higher taxes on younger Americans as a means to protect their Social Security benefits. 84% of those aged 55 to 64 also support tax hikes on young Americans who, on average, suffer an inferior quality of life to their parents. This is from a

@BCB8084 @Mrmiked42 Apparently not, since you want to increase taxes on your grandkids to pay for your living standards. In case you forgot your reading glasses, that's what this whole argument started as. So instead of doing that, pull yourself up by your bootstraps, cut unnecessary costs.
