@JoshACarpenter @LPGA Smart move by the LPGA. PGA Tour's loss is LPGA's gain. Really think PGA should have just moved back Sentry to not compete w/ NFL, kept it as opening event. Looks amazing on tv, time diff allows primetime during dead period. Players love it.

@NateSilver538 Humans think. AI and every other computer-driven application calculate. AI does it using an obscene amount of computing resources.

@NateSilver538 I mean, it's not a person so it seem reasonable and grammatically correct. Plus you have to remember AI is trained on all of this, and the more we talk about it like a person, the more it will think it's a person with the rights of a person. This is non-trivial.

That seems like an incredibly self-indulgent attitude to me. In life, there are always things we don't like about ourselves, how others address us, etc. But most people learn to live with them rather than trying to create exceptions for themselves, which if everyone did, would cause chaos.

@Snoot_sneet @jk_rowling "Trans" is only relative to a stereotype. If you remove stereotypical "fem or masc", there is no need to be "trans". Just be you. Male and female (and yes, intersex) are biological states. Everything else is just relative to someone's expectation.

@NateSilver538 Did you ever take Econ 101? Look up marginal utility. This is a perfectly rational choice for most people.

@NateSilver538 This seems to apply to pretty much everything AI touches. Expertise is needed to evaluate it, but it's eroding expertise, but it's useless/dangerous w/o expertise. Also everyone hyping it has a financial stake in it. We need a reality check here.

@flushingitgolf With all due respect to caddies, they are way overrated. You hear the greats like Jack talk about caddies and they are totally dismissive of any impact they have. Might be better to go w/ a buddy or pull an Akshay and use it as a dating tool.

@jmixxx @Mike_kim714 "Bifurcation" could mean just 2 different balls, but I think Mike and other pros are against using a different ball. What specifically does he mean by bifurcation?

@BobHarig @Garywilliams1Up You can't beat the visuals in Jan. Plus the ratings bump from being 2 hrs later than CA is huge & way better chance for good weather. Plenty of room for an "elite" field. But yes, they do seem set on leaving HI. Sentry by far my fav tourney to attend. Sad it's gone.

@flushingitgolf Having attended several tournaments, I'm always shocked at how the tournament/tv people drive carts at relatively high speeds through very crowded and tight pedestrian areas. Hopefully this makes tournament organizers take this more seriously before something worse happens.

@JoelMBeall Actually the wine is the most impressive part of the menu.

@BobHarig Basically just a shorter season? With 16 signature events top guys will definitely skip some. Give me the old schedule any day. He's trying to turn PGAT into NFL, but the dynamics are totally different. Don't see this going well.
