Emory was 2. Harlow was 15 months. They starved to death in their mom’s South Carolina house while their dad was begging anyone who would listen to go get his girls. He was already separated from her. He was texting that he was terrified she was going to hurt them. Her parents were calling. Neighbors were calling. Deputies had been out there about 13 times. DSS said it was unfounded. Mobile crisis cleared her. Then they arrested him for harassment and used his welfare calls in the warrant. A week after a supervisor closed the case, those babies were found dead. He was the one sounding the alarm, and they treated him like the problem. That should haunt every person who walked out of that house and called it fine.
