And that’s where it gets complicated. 1 Italian GP ≠ 1/24th of a driver’s annual income. A driver is paid for much more than 24 races: practice sessions, simulator work, technical development, training, travel, media and sponsor duties all form part of the job. If a driver has 180–200 working days a year and only 4 are in Italy, allocating 1/24th of the annual salary to Italy would be very different from allocating 4/200th. And then you still have to separate salary, race bonuses, championship bonuses, sponsorship and image rights. Italy may have the right to tax. Determining how much is the hard part.

F1 drivers are in a rather unusual tax position. Normally, spending a few days working in another country doesn’t automatically mean paying income tax there. But professional athletes are an exception: under many tax treaties, the country where they compete may tax the income attributable to that performance, even if they are there for only a few days. So Italy can tax part of an F1 driver’s income for the Italian GP. The difficult part isn’t whether Italy can tax them, but how much of their annual income can reasonably be attributed to those few days in Italy.

@dvassallo Germany doesn’t simply say “anything goes.” The recommended speed is 130 km/h (81 mph), and above that you accept additional responsibility. Even if another driver causes the accident, driving well above 81 can leave you partly liable if the crash would have been avoidable at 81.

Sure, Monaco is attractive for tax reasons. But Max doesn't just "live" there on paper. It has been his actual home since he was 17 and it's where he lives between races. He grew up in Belgium, has never lived in the Netherlands, and being Dutch doesn't automatically make you a Dutch taxpayer.

@kenchangh Topspeed of my Tesla Model Y is 135mph. LA and San Francisco are 405 mile apart. Theoretically I can drive that in 3 hours.

Electric trucker Tobias Wagner did an interesting real-world range test in Germany with a Mercedes eActros 600 without a trailer. The truck has a roughly 600 kWh usable battery and is normally rated for around 350–400 miles (560–640 km) of range under typical load conditions. Without the trailer, he managed around 550 miles (900 km) on a single charge and still had about 20% battery remaining.

@JOBhakdi For every Semi battery pack they can create 20 cybercab packs. Cybercab is not limited by production, it is limited by deployment ability. Model Y can switch to other battery types if needed. Ergo: 4680 is not the limiting factor here.
