To beat my OCD , what I try (& often fail) to do is to believe my eyes more than my brain, ie , If my eyes tell me that the box is empty & ok to put in recycling then I try to overrule my brain which is screaming "No it's not , it's full of important documents , check it AGAIN"

EVERY night I would go into battle with the fridge door. The door would taunt me "I'm not closed!". I would fight back, stroking the door again & again until I was eventually positive it was securely shut... giving it 2 or 3 extra strokes just to make sure.. #OCD
