Congrats to Wilson and Spire! That intro music had more surprises than a late restart

Congratulations to @swilson3_ & @SpireMotorsport, your 2026 @ENASCARGG @CocaColaRacing @iRacing Driver and Team Champions! 🍾 We hope you all enjoyed the show. Sorry for the weird music during the intros 🫠 The iRacing control room is signing off. 🥳

A clean solver interface makes it much easier for developers to test the network and share useful feedback. ⚡

good morning ☕️ i was looking at @quipnetwork’s developer documentation and noticed something refreshingly practical. you can start with a small optimization problem on your own CPU, then switch to the Quip network backend through the solver interface. same problem, different

Agents make it easier to help with the fix while the code is still fresh

the pull request process is broken reviewers often have the expertise, but the norm is to leave comments and block on the original author on recent projects, i've been doing "multiplayer pull requests" - grabbing the diff context with my agent and pushing improvements directly

Agents get a lot more useful when they can run the code, see what broke, and keep iterating.

AI CODING AGENTS DON’T JUST NEED BETTER MODELS. THEY NEED A BETTER HARNESS. Think of the model as the engineer. The harness is everything around it that helps the engineer do reliable work. It can provide: → Repository context → Tools → File access → Test runners →

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. A 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵 keeps the application in a single deployable unit. The codebase, business logic, APIs, and database access typically live within one system. It’s simpler to develop, test, deploy, and operate, especially for smaller teams and early-stage products. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 split the application into smaller, independently deployable services. Each service owns a specific business capability and communicates with other services through APIs or messaging. This can improve independent scaling, deployment, and team ownership. But microservices also introduce complexity. You now have distributed communication, service discovery, observability, retries, network failures, data consistency, and deployment coordination to manage. The goal isn’t to choose microservices because they sound more advanced. Start with a monolith when simplicity matters. Move toward microservices when scale, team boundaries, deployment independence, or domain complexity justify the additional operational cost. Good system design is not about using the most complex architecture. It’s about choosing the simplest architecture that solves the problem. The feedback loop between users and engineers is what keeps a product useful. Ship, watch, adjust. ⚡

Why do companies keep software engineers? It's about constant product calibration! From initial speed to ongoing reliability, engineers adjust products to evolving business needs. Simple, yet crucial for success. #SoftwareEngineering #SoftwareEngineering #TechExplained

Authorization gets overlooked. In payment workflows, who can log in and who can move money are two very different questions.

Security starts with the basics. A secure system is rarely protected by one tool. It is protected by layers that verify users, control access, protect data, and reduce exposure. Here are 11 system security concepts every engineer should understand: 1. Authentication → Verify
