Also for devs who aren't in the know about changes! In order to get your games reindexed by itch. io you'll have to meet a few requirements. Here's the link explaining what's needed for your games to get reindexed. itch.io/t/5149036/rein…

In connection with the current censorship on Steam and Itch, we built a simple website to help indie devs host their affected (free) games for the time being. You can visit it at starboxy.com #indiedev #gamedev #steam #itchio

🧵 This needs to be said. About age verification, censorship, and what’s happening online right now: I’m exhausted, because of the constant fear creators live under. We’re watching the internet change in real time. Not evolve but REGRESS into something scary. Age verification laws are being pushed under the guise of “protecting kids,” but what they’re actually doing is giving governments and corporations a terrifying amount of control over everyone’s private life. This past month? It’s different. The wave of censorship that’s coming is louder, faster, and harsher than anything I’ve seen in years. It’s not just creators feeling it. It’s readers, writers, artists, fans. Everyone. These policies don’t stop harm. They just punish the wrong people. They punish survivors reclaiming autonomy. Queer folks exploring identity. Neurodivergent people finding community. They punish expression. We can’t stay quiet. We can’t sit back and “wait to see what happens.” Because it’s already happening. Accounts are disappearing. Access is being restricted. Communities are being erased. So I’m asking.. please. Use your voice. Be annoying. Be loud. Be relentless. Push back. Sign petitions. Support digital rights orgs. Talk about it publicly. Share stories. Refuse to be silenced. Control is the enemy. Freedom is at risk. 🧷 Resources below. Please read. Please care. Please speak up. Please share for more visibility.

We can put up so many warnings and labels all we want, but we will always end up getting punished for showing a bit too much, huh?

My heart is going out to my fellow creators who was affected by the shadow ban wave on Itch. io. I hope for a good solution will arise soon, because no one should be censored for creating content that is meant for the adults.

You can still find #14DaysWithYou on Itch! It's just hidden from view because of the NSFW tag. But regardless of recent events, I WILL NOT reupload 14DWY anywhere else. So please be cautious of malicious websites that claim to have my game. 🩷 cutiesai.itch.io/14dayswithyou 🩷

Payment processors came for itchio? Likely, given Collective Shout targeted them specifically in their campaign as well. Per @ebihimes:

Unfortunately with new changes implimented into itch .io, my game has now been delisted from the site (as if it wasnt hard enough for us indie devs). So I'm sharing the link and asking this post be liked, shared etc to get word out. Thank you 💙 unknown-hermit.itch.io/you-and-him-re…

@BrookeBaxt I hate the fact that I just dropped off the surface without warning. I wanted to say anything. Try to push myself to be afloat again but it wasn't easy QvQ

@Meowastrophe So far, It is right now. I might make a update post or two about what is going on in the future, but until the Snapshots are done, I'll release the Demo. The Demo itself sorta proven to be bigger than anticipated, and i'm also waiting for a few other things~

@Meowastrophe !! I've been poking around practicing on faces while I could while redesigning my characters and preparing 4 snapshots before DITO releases. I've also went through a lot of emotional stuff and didn't want to bother others, but I feel like i caused some worry, sorry QvQ;;
