Expand to the Moon and beyond and the conversation stops being “what’s left on Earth” and starts being “what the solar system can actually support.” Earth itself was never as resource-constrained as the scarcity narrative claimed. Higher-grade energy sources, better extraction tech, and the ability to move industry off-planet all change the math. Once bases and habitability exist on other bodies, the new energy and material sources become available. Thinking only in terms of remaining terrestrial oil, debt, and legacy banking makes the whole picture look small.
