3 days until #collegefootball! Our 3rd ranked team is @OhioStateFB. How are things in Columbus? It’s a mixed bag. On one hand, the Buckeyes have been in 2 of the last 3 College Football playoffs, including playing for the 2020 national championship. On the other hand, arch rival Michigan is surging and has beaten tOSU by 2+ TD’s in back to back seasons. How will the Buckeyes fare this season? For the most part, it should be more of the same. Ohio State will be in a strong position to win the Big 10 and compete for the national championship. The biggest challenge facing Ohio State is replacing 2nd overall pick CJ Stroud. Kyle McCord and Devin Brown- both highly ranked recruits- are battling for the job. Either one will have the best wide receiver in college football in Marvin Harrison Jr to throw to, so don’t expect a major drop off in OSU’s offense. The schedule is another challenge. The Buckeyes have road games at Notre Dame (12th in our model) and Michigan (4th in our model), as well as a home game against Penn State (6th in our model). Currently, we have tOSU dropping the Michigan game, but it’s projected to be a very tight contest.
