Michael Gove today "Mistakes were made in the procurement of PPE, but it is important to stress these were honest errors." They should all be on trial, every one of them. Their bank account history searched, every penny they have received in the last 6 years accounted for. And if they got anything from the PPE scam they should go to jail for Life.

If people genuinely believe Burnham won’t receive the exact same media onslaught, they’ve not been paying attention. Starmer is not, objectively, bad. This idea that he is somehow the worst PM in British history is frankly laughable. Liz truss lasted 49 days, crashed the pound and was laughed out of Downing Street. Since Labour took office, Keir Starmer’s government has: • Scrapped the two-child benefit limit, lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty and putting money back into some of the hardest-pressed households in the country. • Expanded free school meals, cutting costs for families and making sure more children get a proper meal during the school day. • Expanded funded childcare, reducing one of the biggest monthly costs facing working parents and making it easier for people to stay in work. • Raised the National Living Wage, increasing pay for millions of low-paid workers. • Strengthened workers’ rights, giving people greater protection against insecure work and bad employers. • Introduced statutory sick pay from the first day of illness, so workers are less likely to choose between their health and their wages. • Ended no-fault evictions, giving renters more security in their homes. • Brought rail operators back into public ownership, taking key services out of failed private hands and giving the public a stronger stake in how they are run. • Cut NHS waiting lists from their post-pandemic peak, meaning more patients are being seen sooner. • Raised the state pension through the triple lock, protecting pensioners’ incomes against rising costs. • Scrapped the old non-dom tax regime, making some of the wealthiest people in the country pay more fairly. • Added VAT to private school fees, raising money from those most able to contribute. • Removed business rates relief from private schools, ending an unjustified tax break. • Increased neighbourhood policing, putting more officers and PCSOs back into communities. • Helped bring knife crime down, meaning fewer families face the devastation of serious violence. • Recorded the lowest homicide rate since the 1970s, a material improvement in public safety. • Created Great British Energy, giving Britain a publicly owned clean energy company. • Created the National Wealth Fund, backing investment in industry, infrastructure and clean energy. • Passed planning reforms aimed at getting homes and major projects built faster. • Improved relations with the EU, reducing diplomatic hostility and rebuilding practical cooperation. • Agreed a UK-EU security partnership, strengthening cooperation on defence and European security. • Signed a long-term partnership with Ukraine, reinforcing Britain’s support against Putin’s invasion. • Secured new trade agreements, opening up markets for British businesses. • Helped restore seriousness to government after years of scandal, chaos and decline. People do not have to like Starmer. They do not have to vote Labour. But pretending this is the record of the worst Prime Minister in British history is absurd.

I am genuinely astonished that FIFA has not lodged a formal protest with the United States Government and sought intervention to ensure that this referee, who is held in the highest regard within the international refereeing community, is granted a visa to undertake one of the most important roles in world football. For any referee, appointment to a World Cup is among the greatest honours the sport can bestow. A person's country of birth should never be the sole reason for preventing them from entering a country to carry out a specific professional duty at a specific international event. Particularly when the President of the United States publicly assured the world that participants would be welcomed. If nationality alone has been the determining factor, then this is a serious stain upon both the tournament and the host nation. It raises profound questions about fairness, equality of treatment and whether political considerations are now taking precedence over sporting merit. The World Cup is supposed to bring nations together. Decisions such as this achieve precisely the opposite.

This morning I asked myself, not for the first time, who is Nigel and I made some notes. And it does add up. Here is a man who sells himself as the ordinary bloke with a pint, the man of the people, the great outsider standing up against the establishment. And yet somehow this ordinary bloke always seems to arrive with a camera crew, a donor network, a friendly broadcaster, and now a parliamentary investigation into a £5 million gift from a crypto billionaire. Very normal. Very grassroots. Very “just one of the lads”. The peoples revolt, apparently, now comes with lighting, branding, fundraising dinners, professional outrage, and a small question about whether millions should have been declared properly. Everything is a betrayal when Labour does it. Everything is “nothing to see here” when Nigel does it. Housing? Blame Labour. The NHS? Blame Labour. The economy? Blame Labour. Boats? Blame Labour. A £5 million gift? Suddenly everybody must calm down and respect the process. And then came Tuesday. A young man died. A family was grieving. A country was trying to understand something horrific. And Farage stepped forward. Not with calm. Not with care. Not with responsibilty. But with his announcement of “pure cold rage”. That phrase matters. Because anger is human. Anger can be moral. Anger can demand answers, justice, accountability and truth. I understand anger. A lot of people are angry. They have every right to ask serious questions. But rage is different. Rage does not ask careful questions. Rage does not wait for investigations. Rage does not protect grieving families from becoming political props. Rage looks for a target. And that is where Farage always seems most comfertable. Not solving the pain. Not calming the country. Not asking how institutions failed and how they can be fixed. But standing beside the pain with a microphone, turning the temprature up, and calling it leadership. Warm enough to repost. Warm enough to donate. Warm enough to vote. But never calm enough to ask: “Hang on, who benefits from keeping us this angry?” That is the trick. He does not need Britain to feel hopeful. He does not even need Britain to feel informed. He needs Britain permanently one headline away from rage. Because rage is usefull. It fills rallies. It drives clicks. It turns grief into theatre. It makes slogans feel like solutions. And while everyone is shouting, nobody asks the boring questions. Where is the plan? Where is the funding? Where are the costings? Where is the responsibilty? Maybe that is who Nigel Farage is. Not the man of the people. But the man who knows exactly how to turn peoples pain into his own political stage. The Reform & Tory Sitcom continues. Same chaos. Different rosette. Anger can demand answers. Rage just sells tickets.
