There’s no better feeling in the world, after solo parenting all day, than carrying your three year old upstairs to bed with their head resting on your shoulder. And, as you do, hearing them whisper, “I had so much fun today.”
Land is not a place or thing, but a relationship. If you don’t meet the land where it is at, with its trauma and loss and needs, then your relationship will only ever be extraction and conquering.

I can’t say time in nature heals depression. For me, the outdoors changes sadness from a pain to be endured to a state to be experience. It’s still sadness. But in the context of green growing things under a limitless sky, sadness is simplified. Not a wound. A tile in the mosaic.

Lately I've been doing some matchup and equilibrium analysis. Well positioned+underplayed: Sisay, Rog/Si, Krarkashima, Etali. Well positioned: TnK, Najeela, Magda. Lots of strategies had to be excluded due to low numbers. Play more Tameshi and Krark/Silas, people! 🙏
The rock paper scissors of cEDH now is midrange, turbo, and decks that put stuff into play with their commanders. Decks like Sisay/Magda eating up card draw decks and running so little interaction they can't stop turbo is unironically contributing to turbo being good right now.
