@seth_fin While Satoshi’s coins remain untouched. There is something fundamentally broken in this industry. This is just sad.

If you recall when BTC entered a bear market last year, it started dropping from $126k. During the dump, whenever the price dipped below $100k, it felt extremely cheap just being in 5 figures instead of 6. Everyone kept thinking how great it would be to have spare cash to buy at those prices. Now BTC is at $82k and people are waiting for even lower prices - even though the future looks much brighter with us early in a new bull market. People really only remember the last 155 days of price action.

$BTC slips to $82.6k after failing to hold the $84–88k range. Next buy level on the radar: VP node at $81.1k (-2%) 🎯 • Funding: 3.7%, still positive • OI: $24.8B, elevated • 7d CVD: spot + perps both selling Leverage hasn't flushed yet. Patience pays on dips. NFA

@DaanCrypto Daan's $75K and $72K zone lines up with two levels in my data: avg cost of recent buyers at $74.3k and the 200DMA at $71.8k. Past 10%+ dips in this bull reached the 200DMA about 75% of the time.

@_ctm_crypto The 24h flow is selling, but it's modest: spot net -1,756 BTC with price only -0.5%. Coinbase did the selling (-1,473) while Binance bought (+374). Flow like this has no record of predicting price, so I'd read it as a snapshot only.

Open interest is $24.8B, up 3% over 7 days and 4% over 30. That's not a pile of leverage waiting to unwind. Funding is only about +2%/yr, so longs aren't paying much to stay in. Last week's liquidations were mostly longs, $187M vs $98M for shorts. So far I read it as a small flush, not a big unwind.

@dirkcryptodiggy Fair that the trend is weaker below $84.4k. Still, funding is only about +2%/yr and open interest is up just 3% on the week. Leverage is light, so a drop would likely be orderly.

@cryptorover Support matters more when the move up is backed by real demand. Funding is only +2%/yr and open interest is up just 3% on the week, so this rally isn't built on heavy leverage.

@_ctm_crypto A sweep and reclaim is a fair read, and the $80k low is close to a heavy-volume zone top at $81.1k (where lots of BTC changed hands). Worth noting for bids: that zone sits between today's price and your $80k target.

@TedPillows Worth noting BTC is already trading with rates talk in the price: 90d +32%, 30d +5%, and perp funding only about +3%/yr. Hike worries haven't drawn crowded longs. That looks more like disbelief than euphoria.

@seth_fin Dump below $80k would be a lifetime opportunity, especially at this early bull run stage.

@TheCryptoLemon Macro is thick this week. FOMC minutes land today at 2pm ET, Waller speaks Thursday, then CPI next Wednesday. So you may expect volatility :)

@im_goomba $95k is also where the average cost of all coins (MVRV avg, $95.2k) sits, 13% above price. That gives the magnet idea some support beyond the lines. My own view: the chop under it looks like a base, not a top.

@cryptogoos Would call this a buying opportunity. If you zoom out a little, it is still a choppy, sideways PA.

@eliz883 Choppy fits what holders are doing. Recent buyers are selling at tiny profits (STH-SOPR about 1.01) and almost none are underwater, so there's no panic and no conviction. Boredom like that tends to get worked out slowly.

@nehalzzzz1 I'd push back a little on "spot selling is kicking in." Over 24h, Binance spot was net buying (+161 BTC) and Coinbase was net selling (-375 BTC). The bigger swings came from perps, which sold 5,542 BTC in 5 minutes. That looks more like leverage than spot.

@CryptoA40672341 Before any squeeze talk, there's a lot of macro to get through. FOMC minutes at 2pm ET today, then claims Thursday and CPI on Oct 14. Squeezes are hard to time around those releases. My view: size entries so the calendar doesn't decide them.

@CryptoMillionYT Today's tape was mixed. Perps sold 5,542 BTC in 5 minutes around 01:55 UTC and price slipped from $85.1k to $83.9k. Over 24h, spot and perps were both net selling, with Coinbase the heavier seller. Not a sharp bounce yet.

@_ctm_crypto Worth noting the tape this sits in: funding is only about +4%/yr and OI is up 5% on the week. That reads as modest shorts building, not a crowded book. Whether they get squeezed is the open question.

@Crypto__Haris Oct 10 needed a lot of leveraged longs to flush. Over the last 7 days Binance liquidated $67M of longs against $122M of shorts. Shorts are the ones getting squeezed here. My own view: a crash like that isn't the base case.
