So guys do you think Sheeraz should have been disqualified or was the point deduction enough?
@Trinacria13 Problem is referee can can only really DQ Sheeraz if Skeete couldn’t continue otherwise I think with such a serious foul should have been 2 points. Skeete should have taken his time and not been so eager to get back in there, he had more time
@OnlyJoin2Follow It beggars belief that he hit him twice not once I felt sorry for Bradley coz I know he was really up for this fight sort of taken the gloss off the victory for Hamza also. Disappointing
@Trinacria13 It’s a bad foul and it feels wrong that Sheeraz seems to have benefited from such a flagrant foul as well but the rules don’t allow for a DQ there when Skeete continues, I think he had 5 mins he could’ve taken to regroup and should’ve been 2 points
@OnlyJoin2Follow @Trinacria13 Do they not? I thought the ref’s there to enforce the rules regardless of what the fighter wants? What about when Tyson bit Holy, he’d of continued, but it was taken out of his hands. Same when the fella bit big Dave Price.
@OnlyJoin2Follow @Trinacria13 I’m not being facetious btw. Just didn’t think it mattered if the fighter wanted to go on or not..
@79scotty @Trinacria13 The referee could have determined Skeete wasn’t able to continue, absolutely. When the fight did go on then all you can do is take 2 points. Skeete and ref both decided be could continue and the fight went on
@OnlyJoin2Follow @79scotty And he only took one point I believe
@Trinacria13 @79scotty He did and I would definitely question that. Whether it’s a DQ isn’t about whether the foul is bad enough (shocking foul) it’s whether Skeete could continue and that’s judged same as KO. Ref could have judged no longer safe e.g Tyson/ Holyfield
@OnlyJoin2Follow @79scotty I thought it was shocking coming from a professional fighter like Sheeraz. You can excuse one punch in the heat of the moment exchanges but not 2. If he had been dq’d I would not have questioned the decision
