@g0ldenech0 I should clarify this one. If you don't like Hau as a rival simply because you hate how he doesn't make you feel competitive and for other character flaws is fine. But if you hate Hau simply because he did nothing but to be a friend to you is a major red flag.
I have a lot, but I'll jot down a few: Pokémon Sword and Shield are amazing games. Hating on rivals like Hau is a major red flag. Creativity in competitive pokémon matches should be promoted and celebrated. Ash Ketchum growing up past 10 would've improved the series.

@OoCPokemon @Finchinator2 This is why I personally enjoy draft way more than ladder play. So much room for creativity and it never really gets called cheese in the same way as running a weird set on ladder. You're *expected* to find the best cheese to win against your opponent's roster.

@OoCPokemon In particular about SwSh's characters, I love how Hop's team kept changing up when he was unsure of himself, and once he snapped out of it, he brought back the old team, and kept the Snorlax he'd used during that, showing that he did get something out of all that experimentation.
@OoCPokemon SwSh really are pretty good. I liked their take on the Gym challenge, the Wild Area was beyond cool, and the characters were great.
@KingDangoz @OoCPokemon @g0ldenech0 But some characters to this day still call themselves your rival. Gladion, Nemona, etc. The Pokemon anime itself preached forming rivals as one of the many bonds you can make on your journey. A rival doesn’t have to be a dickhead, that’s something western fans made up.
@OoCPokemon SwSh are pretty good games and I really enjoyed my time with Kubfu. I don't hate Hau, but both him and Hop just talk too damn much. Like a back story is fine, but omfg shut up.
@OoCPokemon Scarlet and Violet are also amazing games. It has its technical issues, but they are incredible.
@OoCPokemon - SwSh, PLA and SV have amazing graphics - Liking humanoid Pokémon doesn't make you a furry - Natures, EVs and IVs are pointless (just get your mon like it is) - Lechonk and Bidoof are fucking trash
@OoCPokemon Hau haters so obviously never played the Ultra games. In the originals, he's just a good kid you battle a few times and that's about it. In the ultra games though, he's an actual character! He beats himself up for not being able to protect those he cares about, and being weak.
