Today, we’re joined by Moin from Standing Tall, a brilliant charity offering opportunities to our service users 👏 Standing Tall supports people experiencing homelessness and those in insecure housing helping them move towards safe accommodation and stable employment.
LUSH donated a big bag filled with cosmetics for our service users. 👏 👉 Want to make a difference? Please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506 for Nottingham Open Kitchen or Ehsan Choudhry at 07801179990 for Hounslow Open Kitchen.
The Open Kitchen attended the 10th year celebration event and will be working closely with Self Help UK–Macmillan to support our service users with Beyond Diagnosis cancer care. 💙
We plan to work closely with Self Help UK Macmillan Cancer Support to help out any of our service users in need. 💚
Last week we attended the 10th year celebration event of Self Help UK's beyond diagnosis cancer support service! 🎉 Since 2015, they have been a consistent source of support for individuals living with cancer and their loved ones across Nottinghamshire. 💙
It’s moments like these that remind us how bright the future is! 🌟 👉 Want to make a difference? Please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506 for Nottingham Open Kitchen or Ehsan Choudhry at 07801179990 for Hounslow Open Kitchen.
Big hearts and curious minds! 💙 We had a visit from some amazing students from Nottingham Girls’ School. They toured our space and interviewed the manager, Imran Khan, with some seriously thoughtful questions.
Fighting hunger in the UK means more than just food, it means showing up together. 👉 Want to make a difference? Please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506 for Nottingham Open Kitchen or Ehsan Choudhry at 07801179990 for Hounslow Open Kitchen.
We serve meals – and we serve our community! 🙌 Having a good relationship with our neighbours is extremely important to us. 💙 That’s why, as part of our community work, we dedicate a day every month to street cleaning!
A big thank you to Ajmal from Turner & Townsend Nottingham consultancy who attended The Open Kitchen today to volunteer. He also provided the water for the service users! 👏 👉If you would like to make a difference, please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506
Good news from the Open Kitchen Nottingham today - Chris, who has been a service user for over a year, came in today to inform us that he started a full time job this week and to thank us and the donors for all the help when he needed it! 😀
Everyone deserves that chance. With your support, we can help more people rebuild, recover, and thrive. 👉If you would like to make a difference, please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506 or Ehsan Choudhry at 07801179990.
Meet Leon, a service user who first came to us during one of the hardest times in his life – now he’s standing on his own, full of hope for the future. 🙌 We’re incredibly proud of how far he’s come, and deeply grateful to have been part of his journey. 💙
✨If you’d like to find out more or would like to help make a difference, please contact: Ehsan Choudhry on 07801179990 or Imran Khan on 07890584506.
From Nottingham to Manchester to London – we’re here where we are needed. 💙 If you or someone you know needs support, drop us a visit – everyone is welcome!
Together, we're not just handing out food. We're building hope. And it's that same community spirit that will help us tackle hunger and food insecurity across the UK. 🙌 Want to make a difference? Contact Imran Khan at 07890584506. 🌟
👉We wouldn't be here without the incredible people who give their time, donate what they can, and those who stand with us day in, day out. From our dedicated volunteers to every neighbour who's shared a tin or told a friend - you are the reason we get to keep going.
Last week, Chris from The Big Issue helped one of our service users get started with selling The Big Issue. 🙌 Want to make a difference? Please contact Imran Khan at 07890584506. 🌟
Giving water is a blessed act of charity! In Islam, there is a famous hadith where the Prophet (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud] If anyone would like to donate any water, please do get in touch with us at 07890584506. 🌟
We received a very generous donation of 768 bottles of water this week from a brother asking us to make du'a for peace across the world and for his family.
