The Mass Effect trailer isn’t very interesting. The art design looks like it went back to what we had in ME 3, which is good. But everything else it shown just isn’t interesting. If this is what they showed investors as a proof of concept to keep the funding flowing, I see why it failed. Especially if this is the best they have after the years it allegedly spent in development. It doesn’t need a full playable build, but maybe 2-3 rooms for mc to shoot through using some simple reusable assets, then build a story around them for the trailer. Even if it shows off how they think gameplay will look and it’s all fake, it would be something more interesting than just cinematics full of fluff. I think this is a problem with a lot of trailers, games, movies, series, etc. So many bad movies had phenomenal trailers in the 80s and 90s. Even today a Trailer can make or Break a movie. Your trailer should put butt in seats or product in customers hands.

@Leaflit hey, I wanted to ask your advice, i recently got X premium and thus access to Grokbot, I had been feeding it research and such when suddenly I realized I could more than one bot running. I remember you saying you had your own clankers talk to each other, so I set up an additional continuity check bot and a research bot, with the original bot doing tasks like image gen and such, the other 2 check it's work before sending it to me. My question is,is there another bot I should add to help the pipeline? I don't know how you phrased it but I remember you mentioned having a bot whose job was to make sure things are at least a certain percentage acceptable before release. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

It's a trailer with no gameplay. Why wasn't this shown before things went south? Too little too late.

EA's complete misunderstanding of BioWare's RPG heritage and a desire for mass market, microtransaction-fuelled action games has robbed us of one of the industry's greats. bit.ly/4skXwy5

You're now seeing gaming media outlets running cover for the Bioware closure, confirming the leaked trailer (no gameplay, curious) and quoting how the developers were poised to deliver.. The question is, why now? The answer: access. Game journalists live and die by access, if lost they are nothing. Running cover for the former Bioware is a nod to the rest of the industry that they will still run cover for your shitty studio, so don't cut them out. If they really cared and were real journalists, these things would have been mentioned months if not years ago. They only care now to keep the relations going. The only foothold gaming journalists have is access, and without it they are just bloggers.

@The_Harkonnen @Asmongold Too much ass-patting for access and not enough tough love. If they did their job the ships could have course corrected, instead they led them right into the rocks.

No, we can't agree because the game was shit. The studio is dead now, and it's shit like this, with false praise and rah rah resetera conflating that killed Bioware. @Asmongold is right that game journalists are responsible for these studios dying.

@saincisco Yeah I notice that, however that is the beauty of being a streamer. I know the feeling of wanting to keep grinding, however to put it like my pops would, sometimes ya just gotta sit down and watch some Gunsmoke. Never lose that unwinding time

@chibi_mike Mike Murphy you are aware they make these things called controllers for PCs right? They can pretty much be all the consoles, it's more than just your story writing and editing machine :p
