@shenetworks I used to have a dryer, but the only things I owned that could be tumble dried were jeans, towels and bedsheets, all my other clothes say not to use it on the tag, so when it dies I didn't see the point in replacing it tbh.

@JamesSurowiecki It takes like an hour, I just carry it about 5 feet to a room where the plug is, it makes literally no difference to my life. Our mains electricity is about twice the voltage of the US, so I'm pretty fine not to have it open in a small wet room.

@niIesbing I just charge mine in another room then bring it back to the bathroom. It takes like an hour to charge. I can go an hour between brushing my teeth.

@pyrexthottie I have nerve pain in my face, I'm prescribed medication for it. I have to have it reviewed every so often to make sure the medication is still right and safe.

@yosuvarley @RobMayl It was literally the name of the rock band in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's not a new joke.

@StanisJenna I am also very glad the tiger is fine, but from what people who were there are saying, the guy was speaking makaton, a sign language for children and people with learning disabilities. All the 'got what he deserved' comments do seem in poor taste when we don't know what happened.

@Opera_Ghost_Kay Haven't seen the show yet so I've no idea if it's any good, but that is just a generic Amazon sponsorship as that you can get before a number of their shows at the moment.

@valiamore @HouseofSats @racetotheshore For example, I can only have 50 people at my day ceremony. We have a lot more than 50 friends and family. The others come to the evening party. It's pretty simple. Why would that mean we hate anyone? I don't have a spare 10 grand lying around for a massive wedding.

@timbones730 @Vanlenciacf I really do not understand this. You can talk about anything. I have friends in my opera company who are 40-50 years older than me. We talk about music, TV, food, our families, what we did in the week, our hobbies. They're just people, they're not aliens.

@kvnryan26 @l_muffy @bkwhufc Because we don't pronounce the gull in seagull the same as when saying the word on its own. At least we don't where I live (Yorkshire). Seagull absolutely rhymes with legal to me.

@JordanEVGuy I would love one but there isn't really a feasible option for people who can't charge them at home yet. I'd be paying more for public charging and having to sit around and wait in a car park while it charged.

@_celia_bedelia_ @FlyIngenuity @eweatherill99 @ErichKays I suppose I should say, the sentence is supposed to be the same. Obviously the people doing the sentencing are still prey to sexism and stereotypes.

@_celia_bedelia_ @FlyIngenuity @eweatherill99 @ErichKays The punishment is the same in the UK for women and men who rape, the only difference is the name of the crime they are sentenced with.
