I've been building a programming language. It's called Osy#, and the site is up: osysharp.com The premise: more code is now written by agents, and an agent can't ask a colleague why a field is nullable. It has the source and the compiler. So the language is built to let the compiler say a lot — what the app is, who may read what, what actually ran — and to refuse with a fix attached instead of failing quietly. One language is the whole app: the data, the rules and the screen, in one file. The compiler decides which part runs where. No REST layer, no DTOs, no client store, no ORM, no async, no migration runner. Eight of the twelve things you'd normally build for even a small app are gone, and the list doesn't grow as the app does. Some of what's in it: – Security is declared on the entity, once, and becomes the row filter inside every query. Deny by default. – Workflows that park on a person for three days are just source, and survive a redeploy. – Every external call is a durable step. A crash can't charge the card twice. – Agents are declarations: a principal with its own grants and only the tools you hand it. – Tests run the real app on a real Postgres as a real user. Nothing to mock. One binary, two commands, a running app with embedded Postgres. No Docker, no server. 20 complete sample apps, 360 reference pages, 853 examples compiled by CI. It's a beta. The download isn't published yet and hosting is opening — the site describes the build I run today, and there's an email on the page if you want to know when the binaries land. If you write software, or you make agents write it, I'd like to hear what you think.

@jpschroeder This must be so depending on the work you do. Fable ate my tokens as if they were candy, and git the feeling that last week of Opus 4.8 was seeing higher token usage reported. i have been using Opus 5 since launch and its less than half token usage for me…
