The Companion of Honour, which recognises achievements in science and the arts, is limited to 65 people - Peter Higgs has just died, and there's therefore a vacancy. I'm not sure what has Kate done to deserve this honour alongside Sir Paul Mccartney and Dame Maggie Smith.
@Otto_English The community note is a pointless aside. What's important here is what exactly did she do to deserve this? As taxpayers and as people in an actual democracy, we absolutely have the right to ask that question. The embarrassing answer is absolutely nothing.
@Otto_English William couldn't run a bath, let alone be the grand master of one. It seems that photoshopping is now classed as an achievement in arts for Catherine.
@Otto_English If this is a serious question, it was for her heading of the “Hold Still” Photography Campaign, in collaboration with The National Gallery. npg.org.uk/hold-still/
@Otto_English Does everyone get a medal in that family just for turning up ?
@Otto_English What British Empire? These people still live in the age of Victoria. Kate never did anything, even before her 'illness'. Womans never worked a day in her life.
@Otto_English Just jealous you don’t have one..same old, same old..🙄
@Otto_English @RichardBentall Services to Photoshop?
@Otto_English She is a patron of some arts organisations I guess.
@Otto_English @MrRobertBob1 The list does include public service as well.
