@mcashmanCBE …and it is inequality and differential treatment that can stigmatise and demonise and lead us down paths to criminalisation to and abhorrent laws such as this in Uganda. The U.K. should start by leading by example as to the fundamentals and respect for human dignity for all.
@mcashmanCBE In 2022 the British Privy Council upheld inequality of LGBTI in their territories (eg. Bermuda & Cayman) and “inhumane and degrading” colonial laws in others (eg. Trinidad and Tobago). What standard does that set? Enforcing inequality based on religion is dangerous and wrong.

@HRC Love won, but sadly the Brits overruled Caribbean judges, taking equal marriage away from both Bermuda and Cayman. Not only that, British judges placed the costs burden onto those seeking equality under the law. Should British judges be able to reverse human rights progress?
