PTT Field Communication Company builds field communications software for crews who work away from the office. Our focus is Tanzania and East Africa: mining, power and utilities, construction sites, logistics camps, and other teams that still need clear, instant voice contact when the job depends on it.
Across the region, workers already carry smartphones. Licensed radios and dedicated push-to-talk hardware still matter for many operations, but they are a second fleet—expensive to issue, hard to train on, and often separate from the devices people use every day. At the same time, consumer chat apps are a poor fit for crew coordination: they assume steady internet, they are not designed as a radio face, and they fail quietly when coverage drops on a remote site. The result is a gap between what crews need—simple hold-to-talk communication—and what they actually have on the belt.
We build software that turns those everyday phones into a practical radio face for the field: hold to talk, local languages including English and Swahili, and support for crews when coverage is uneven. We pair that with setup, training, and supervised trials so partners can see the product work on real sites before they scale. Over time we will also offer partnered connectivity options for harder environments—always through honest, licensed paths and specialist partners—not by overclaiming technology we do not operate.
Our company is deliberately product- and market-honest. We do not invent demand. Utilities in our region procure push-to-talk systems for field zones; mines buy radios and speech systems for shafts and sites; humanitarian and field organisations have already trialled satellite push-to-talk where mobile networks cannot be trusted. We build for that existing spend: a software layer and pilot kits that fit how East African crews actually work, rather than asking sponsors to invent a new need from zero.
Vision. We aim to become the trusted field communications company for East Africa—the partner crews and operators call when they need reliable talk on the job, not another generic messaging app. In five years we want PTT Field Communication to mean practical, locally supported crew communications: software that feels like a radio, sold and supported from the region, with clear upgrade paths when sites need stronger connectivity. We see a future where fewer teams depend only on fragile cloud chat or on a second radio fleet they cannot afford to maintain—and where a phone they already carry can do the core job of coordinated field voice.
That vision is staged. Near term, we prove the product with supervised field days and a defined ninety-day validation path, backed by partners who can put real devices and one site behind the software. Mid term, we deepen commercial relationships with operators who already buy radios and push-to-talk capacity, and with connectivity partners for environments beyond ordinary coverage. Long term, we expand across East Africa with the same principle: honest claims, local support, and products that match how work is done on the ground.
Impact. The impact we aim for is operational and human. When crews can communicate clearly, sites run safer and faster: fewer missed instructions, faster response when something goes wrong, and less isolation for workers far from the office. For utilities and infrastructure operators, better field talk supports the reliability of services that households and businesses depend on. For mines and heavy industry, it supports coordination in places where a failed message is not an inconvenience but a risk. For NGOs and field programmes, it supports staff safety and coordination in remote areas—complementing, not replacing, the specialised tools they already evaluate.
We also care about economic impact at home. Building this company in Tanzania means skilled work, regional partnerships, and technology that is designed for East African conditions first—language, support, and the reality of uneven networks—rather than imported software that assumes always-on connectivity. If we succeed, more of the money that already flows into radios, airtime, and field kits stays tied to local capability: software, training, and service that can be improved by teams who live with the same constraints as their customers.
We measure progress in proofs, not slogans: a crew that can talk on a real site; partners who will sponsor devices or a field day; operators who invite a pilot because they already feel the pain. Our partner brief and company site exist so sponsors, investors, and operators can engage that journey with clear asks and honest scope.
PTT Field Communication Company is still early. The software is real; the commercial path is active; the next gate is supervised validation with the right partners. We are looking for investors and supporters who understand East Africa’s field economy—and who want to back a company that joins problems operators already pay for, and solves them with clear communication when the job depends on it.

@elonmusk
all @SpaceX and @Starlink Team,
In light of the recent discussions between the Government of Tanzania and SpaceX/Starlink leadership, we see growing potential for satellite connectivity to support field operations across Tanzania and the wider region.
As shared in our previous email, PTT Field Communication Company is developing Radio OS, a push-to-talk software platform for smartphones and rugged devices. We are exploring how satellite internet could serve as one possible connection option for teams working beyond reliable mobile coverage. This is a future opportunity we hope to investigate; we are not claiming a current Starlink integration or partnership.
Radio OS is currently in the product-validation stage. We are seeking support to test it with real devices and field partners. If the idea aligns with your interests, we would welcome a discussion about possible pilot support, sponsorship, or investment.
Thank you for considering our request. We would be pleased to share more about the product and our validation plan.
Kind regards,
PTT Field Communication Company

Remote field teams need more than a device. They need a reliable way to communicate when they are far from mobile coverage.
That is one reason satellite internet matters to the future of field operations in Tanzania and across East Africa.
At the network level, satellite internet can provide an IP connection to a remote site. In a future Radio OS pilot, a service such as Starlink could be one possible way to connect that site to the internet.
It would complement—not replace—local networks and other connection options.
Our focus at PTT Field Communications is Radio OS: push-to-talk software for Android phones and rugged handsets, designed for field teams.
We want to validate how it works in real operating conditions and understand which network setups best serve teams beyond reliable mobile coverage.
We are preparing for a 90-day field validation. Support could help us access devices, reach a suitable pilot site, and cover agreed testing and deployment costs.
We are also open to investment conversations with people who believe in practical field technology for East Africa.
We would welcome a conversation with SpaceX/Starlink about possible pilot support, sponsorship, or investment.
This is our expression of interest.
