Four FC Soldiers Killed in Attack on Leave Convoy in Dera Bugti, Balochistan Dera Bugti, 28 Sept 2026 — Four personnel of Frontier Corps Balochistan North were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a convoy en route on leave along the Dera Bugti-Kashmore Road, officials said. According to the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), 37 Taliban fighters were killed and 24 others injured during clashes in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan and the Nari district of Kunar.

According to the locals, the Resistance Front engaged Taliban forces in fighting and inflicted casualties on Taliban members. They further alleged that Taliban forces subsequently subjected local residents to harassment and abuse. Residents also claimed that Taliban personnel took away their sons and children and forced them to appear in recorded videos. Locals described the situation as extremely tense, saying residents are largely confined to their homes amid fear and uncertainty.
