To write is to shake off🖋 One of the most awkward thing about me as a writer is that my creativity climaxes to its peak when I am in a sad mood. It's awkward but it's my writing reality which I utilise a lot as I can't create it as a moment the way I create others to aid the
writing process. The first day of this year brought a sad moment to me from a needed little heated conversation that I had with someone towards noon of the said day. Realising the power of this moment for me, I quickly located my work space with my laptop and spent the
remaining day there until I decided to shutdown for the day. Towards the end of this writing session, I felt a great and unexplained relief and immediately, I remembered the words of Anne Frank that say "I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is
reborn.” For me, it's not just only about the creative moment I carve out of this sad moment but writing being a source of escape from my realities and that of the world.
Writing serves so many purposes to people but for writers, it serves even more; it is therapeutic and a source of escape for us in facing the realities and ordeals of the world. #writer #content #contentwriter #PanamaWrites
