ngl, this year really woke me up. I see clearly now, who's for me and never was. I learned to set boundaries, stop overextending myself and stop pouring into cups that don't pour back. it's not easy, but it's necessary and peaceful

finding someone who stays patient with you while you’re actively unlearning survival mode is one of the most surreal and disorienting forms of love to experience

If it drains you—walk away. If it confuses you—let it go. If it doesn’t bring you peace—remove it. Life is too short for chaos. ✌🏽

The loudest form of disrespect is realizing they were never going to tell you. If you hadn’t found out you still be clueless.

If you let her know she’s your priority & that she actually matters to you, you’d be surprised how much easier things become. Women aren’t as complicated as people make them out to be. They don’t need big gestures every day. They just want to feel valued, respected and protected by the man they give their heart to. Make the call. Send the text. If you’re busy, say that. If something’s off, communicate it. If you mess up, own it. Not because she’s insecure but because consistency creates security

hardest pill i’ve had to swallow this year so far was learning that no matter how good you can be to someone, no matter how long you’ve been there for them, no matter how much you love them.. that they CAN & they WILL turn their back on you & there's nothing you can do but detach

As you get older as a woman, the things you value in a man start to shift. It’s not really about the finest man, the best dressed, or the one flashing the most money anymore. it’s about the man who’s thoughtful. The one who picks up dinner when he knows it’s been a long day for both of y’all. The helpful man who washes the dishes after you cook & helps fold the clothes without being asked. The man who sees something around the house needs fixing & just handles it. The family man who wants to plan bbq’s at the park, take little adventures, & actually build a life together. The gentle, patient type of man who brings peace instead of chaos. Life really too short to settle for anything less. 🫶🏽

Sometimes as an adult you have to decide "this is the last time these people are gonna make me feel this way" and stand on it. Be it family, a relationship or a friendship.

They weren’t lying went they said one day you just wake up and just don’t care anymore. No warning, no dramatic shift, just a quiet, peaceful detachment.

i had to be real with myself. it wasn't life holding me back. it was me. i kept choosing what was familiar over what was healthy. i said i wanted better, but i kept making the same decisions. i kept running from the discomfort that comes with real change. i wanted peace without sacrifice. growth without leaving certain people behind. a new outcome without new habits. but life doesn't work like that. you can't heal in the same place thats holding you back. you gotta choose different. .. even when it's uncomfortable.
