My book signing horror story: snowy night, takes over hour to get to B Dalton’s in Woodbury. Workers don’t know I’m coming. Sold 3 Vikings books in 1:15. I leave thinking: “Bad night, but I can pick up pizza at Red’s Savoy (original locale).”
Call in order: “Sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, well done.” Chaos in there. I get the pizza; 45 minutes through snow to Golden Valley. Tear open the pizza. It’s pineapple & saurkraut. Much swearing & straight into weekly garbage bin.
@Patrick_Reusse Very small consolation for you. Tonight while visiting my mom in Duluth, I drove to the Miller Hill Mall for the sole purpose of buying this book. Looking forward to reading this one.
@Patrick_Reusse Hey Pat you might want to let people know you are having a book signing...just post it here on Twitter.
@Patrick_Reusse Oof l love pizza but that does not sound edible.
@Patrick_Reusse The book signing story is very familiar. The pizza story is a goddamn tragedy.
@Patrick_Reusse The original Savoy's was the best. The franchises around the metro are good but they don't compare to the original.
@Patrick_Reusse Oh my goodness! There's still a B Dalton's??
