No Pavement Parking Scotland @PavementNo

@Ronny__Deila @ejmatthew @Ross_Greer @GlasgowCC Go on, google it I dare you. You might learn something.

@RuthMayorcas @MikeyCycling @SpelthorneBC @CyclingLawLDN Untaxed so insurance may be invalid, make sure police are involved if they aren’t already!

Not the best way to advertise your business. Wouldn’t bother taking my car to be detailed to someone who is too lazy to walk the length of themselves. Cycle lane & pavement in one go.

@MyGlasgowCC @kfullermusic Wrong, all local authorities now have the powers and a duty to enforce the national pavement parking prohibition. It’s just a matter of you pulling your finger out and getting it done.

@CharviMarwaha @kfullermusic @GorfettPhilip @MyGlasgowCC @blairanderson35 It’s illegal to drive on a pavement unless accessing a drive way, that’s not a drive way. Makes no difference if you “own” the land or not. I take it you paid your share for the new pavement being installed?

@NickLesterDavis @fountainbridge @LivingStreetsEd @LStreetsScot Already covered by obstruction rules

@todaysbread2day @NeepsnTatties @edinhelp Parked on a double yellow line as that also covers the pavement. Fully enforceable as is but as of 11th Dec can also be fined for parking on a pavement.

@LivingStreetsEd Parked on a double yellow so should be ticketed regardless of pavement parking ban which does not supersede existing TROs. That looks like a disabled bay rather than a loading bay.

@douglasforbes @fountainbridge @yplac_ed @LivingStreetsEd By breaking the law and driving and driving on the pavement? And how does it help other drivers?

@yplac_ed Simple solution there is for the council to get tickets issued

@yplac_ed @Edinburgh_CC If there are double yellow lines on the road where that’s parked then it can be ticketed. Whether there is anyone out to do that is another story.

@SonicTheHaggis @yplac_ed Not allowed to load if there is a double dash on the pavement as there is here. Also broken the law whilst driving on the pavement to get to where it is.

@CordnerDarren @CllrScottArthur @CyclingEdin @KevinStewartSNP @LivingStreetsEd @StreetWurrier @dvrh9 The double yellow lines already cover that so should be getting a ticket if by chance a traffic warden was to pass 🤷🏼‍♂️

@MalcolmGroup Might be time to reinforce the fact that it’s illegal for hgvs to park on the pavement with some of your drivers?

@david_mccraw @iamonabeach @CllrScottArthur @JackRMCaldwell @edtiss @Robert_Drysdale @edinhelp @susan4leithwalk @LivingStreetsEd @CyclingEdin Ah well, in that case let’s not bother and just line every pavement in Scotland with bollards.

@iamonabeach @CllrScottArthur @JackRMCaldwell @edtiss @Robert_Drysdale @edinhelp @susan4leithwalk @LivingStreetsEd @david_mccraw @CyclingEdin Bollards can be a barrier for those with disabilities. Put two enforcement officers on the area and make a bit of money from the fines whilst hopefully educating the drivers.

@david_mccraw @JackRMCaldwell @edtiss @Robert_Drysdale @CllrScottArthur @edinhelp @susan4leithwalk @LivingStreetsEd @CyclingEdin But what if your child has mobility issues or a vision problem, bollards won’t help them get around

@JackRMCaldwell @edtiss @Robert_Drysdale @CllrScottArthur @edinhelp @susan4leithwalk @LivingStreetsEd @david_mccraw @CyclingEdin Doesn’t need bollards, just the correct enforcement. Both vans are parked in contravention of the double yellow lines so get them ticketed!

@edtiss @SpokesLothian Both parked on the double yellow lines that can be seen in the road so proper enforcement and the issuing of tickets would sort that!
