PdaNet 6.0 has already been pushed to Cydia to support iOS 6. If your Cydia is still showing the old version please wait for it to sync.
"Hotspot Error 61" in 5.33 indicates a jailbreak problem. PdaNet 5.35 can avoid this error but keep in mind you still have a bad jailbreak!
redsn0w version before 0.9.10b3 is buggy and will break hotspot. You need to do a clean restore and jailbreak again using 0.9.10b3 or later.
Infrastructure mode supports all devices like Android or HP tablets. However this requires iPhone 4/4S with iOS 4.2.6 or later. No 3GS.
PdaNet 5.30 is released in Cydia. Supports iOS 5 & infrastructure mode WiFi Hotspot with WPA2 security (4.2.6 or above).
If you have updated iTunes to 10.5, you need to update the PdaNet desktop client to 5.30 correspondingly for USB mode, Win or Mac.

1.60 is released with major improvements. Supports Mac USB connection and also allows you to connect to WiFi network directly in PdaNet.
Works on the latest iPhone OS 3.1.2 just fine so feel free to upgrade and jailbreak.

Previously the 64 bit version of the desktop client included an unsigned driver by mistake. This has been fixed for 64 bit Vista/Windows 7.
Tested on OS 3.0. Works perfectly with USB. WiFi seems to work but there has been a few reports of connection drop new to 3.0.
