You know how when you ask a kid how old their parents are, they usually give some absurdly high number? My 6yo said I was zero. Not sure how to feel about that….

A positive side of being autistic/ oblivious to social cues is that I don’t always notice when someone is being rude to me. Instead I just assume it’s my own fault that the conversation isn’t going well and the other person is just treating me how I deserve.

I recently got Peter Enns’s Telling God’s Story to use with my kids. Today I accidentally left it out while my (SBC) parents were over, but I wasn’t sure if they saw it or not. Tonight my mom sent me a link to Founders Ministries and offered to buy us any of their kids books.

My 5yo brought this home from Sunday school on Mother’s Day. Having ADHD, I forgot to water it. Today I noticed the verse for the first time. Not sure if I feel comforted or attacked by it.

Some people are interested in raising their own meat animals so they can know where their food comes from. For me, if I’m honest, it’s mostly so I can have an outlet for my special interest in names without having to have babies constantly.

When I was a teenager it used to be so exciting to have a dress that had pockets. Now it’s so common that whenever I wear my only unpocketed dress it honestly makes me a little mad.
