@PhilBildner @PENamerica @veronikellymars @TasslynM @jonfreadom @FLFreedomRead @diversebooks I am so frustrated by these myths and so exhausted that very few people are battling this.
@PhilBildner @Southlake4All @PENamerica @veronikellymars @TasslynM @jonfreadom @FLFreedomRead @diversebooks Important to point out, books in North Texas have not been “banned”— rather, they were reviewed for sexual content inappropriate for children under 13, and to be sensitive to the “n-word” & racial violence contained in books. Thought that was something we could all get behind.
@PhilBildner @FLFreedomRead @PENamerica @veronikellymars @TasslynM @jonfreadom @diversebooks I don't care what a book contains. It could be the grossest or most disgusting thing. Don't ban it. Let the four people who like it read it. That's my philosophy of non-censorship.
@PhilBildner @FLFreedomRead @PENamerica @veronikellymars @TasslynM @jonfreadom @diversebooks These books shouldn't be removed en masse like this. And neither should their content be edited, like what's happening with Roald Dahl's books.
