This quote and the many others made today by Rory probably weren’t easy to say. Let’s not use this as an opportunity to pile on. Rather, It’s time for me and others to let go of our hostilities and work towards a positive future. Rahms’ signing is turning into a bridge to bring both sides together,as evidenced by the many comments today and a month ago about changing the rules for the Ryder Cup so Jon and others can play, so let’s use it as such. Until an agreement is reached it will be business as usual for both sides but hopefully without the needless disdain.

@PhilMickelson @chambleebrandel too ? Can I still target a little disdain towards him ?
@PhilMickelson Class as usual from @PhilMickelson
@PhilMickelson Phil you are totally right… let’s show class and move on
@PhilMickelson Could not disagree more. Rham has now made his bed (which is a huge shame) and we can now move on and concentrate on the younger players coming through like Aberg and co. Don’t use this as a bridge in the hope to become Ryder cup captain one day.
@PhilMickelson He wouldn't have changed had Rahm not made the switch. Rory is the biggest hypocrite around, imo. My least favorite golfer.
I think the problem most fans have is that this has completely divided the golf community. The golfers that went to LIV went due to money. That’s fine and no judgement there, but that also is seen as an extremely selfish move by golf fans. We went from being able to see our favorite golfers on a weekly basis to those golfers basically disappearing from the world of golf. LIV’s marketing and viewership support is awful. I think more damage has been done that you think in terms of how golf fans view this whole fiasco. Can it recover? Hopefully. But has any of this made golf fans “appreciate” LIV? Absolutely not. If anything it’s made them resent LIV.
