@PhysInHistory We really need to trash our institutions and start again. Do it like picking up luggage to travel. Just pick what you really need and ditch the rest. Most of our current institutions are about bureaucratized paths to social status. This only leads to loss of efficiency over time

@PhysInHistory Depending on the location and the cost. In Germany? Absolutely yes. You get good knowledge, professors, contacts. Working in teams is fun and there are many free events where you get to know leaders in their field
@PhysInHistory I feel like it’s dependent on your career choice. For example, no one’s going to hire a teacher, doctor, or lawyer without an extensive level of education/dedication. It’s a necessary requirement for some professions but not for all
