@Ramazan_Tk3 @begida @TurkishFacts4U The UN did what? That's the "it's true because I want it to be true" part, I guess. Also, this map is silly, first because it's not how EEZs are defined anywhere in the world, and secondly because it does not show the maritime zones of Greek islands (even the current 6nmi).

@Ramazan_Tk3 @begida @TurkishFacts4U Out of curiosity, how does the "Turkish rightful sovereignty at half of it" came to be? Maritime zones are defined by the land each nation owns, and there is no possible combination that gives Turkey half of it. (here comes the "it's true because I want it to be" from the Turk)

@didiko312 @SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu Greece doesn't cross Turkish airspace. Turkey crosses Greek airspace and even flies above Greek islands.

@didiko312 @SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu "When Turkey threatened Greece/islands??" For the third time: - When Turkey performs military overflights directly over them (even islands with airports) - When Turkey invades Imia - When Turkey announced their intention to invade other islands (some of them inhabited).

@SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu See my other tweets. Is Greece supposed to ignore overflights over its islands? Or the fact Turkey has announced an intent to invade some of them? Or that Turkey has already invaded one? UN Ch 7 applies. BTW the 1947 treaty doesn't concern Turkey because Turkey isn't a party.

@SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu And that's the problem right here. Turkey refuses to adhere to the clause in the Lausanne Treaty limiting its ownership to islands no more than 3 miles from Asia Minor coast. And Turkey has announced an intent to invade other islands, some of them inhabited (such as Agathonisi).

@SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu I was talking about overflights literally above the islands. Even big islands with their own airports.

@SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu The armed attack on Imia. And even before that, military overflights above Greek islands.

@SamBoreas @TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu Please, Turkey wants to act as a judge and unilaterally declare Greece guilty and hand out "verdicts" in the form of territorial changes. Greece follows the obligations as defined after the Montreux treaty and, for Dodecanese, the obligations as affected by UN Chapter 7.

@tabikilim01 @ragipsoylu So that's how the Turkish media fanatizes the Turkish population: Let's not concern ourselves with the arguments of either side, instead let's make a silly cartoon that doesn't have any relation to reality. Also, the twat with the chair is taking up all the space in the pond.

@TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu Also, the Montreux Convention Preamble replaced Lausanne Treaty Preamble (which is the part that mandated demilitarisation). It's the reason Turkey was allowed to re-militarise the straits and Turkish Aegean islands. So, Greece doesn't violate any de-militarization clause anyway.

@TheOne_010_ @CeoHealthtech @ragipsoylu Where is conditionality mentioned in the treaty? Conditionality is never implied in treaties, it's always explicitly mentioned.

@ragipsoylu Why do you care what the Greek government does on Greek soil? It's Greek land, the Greek government can invite anyone they want. I think the real problem here is Turkish governments refusing to accept the fact Greece is an independent nation that doesn't have to report to Turkey.

@StoikMunzevi @Aontaithe2021 @ragipsoylu Turks are basically like: The Montreux Convention Preamble applies for Turkey but not for Greece, because *magic*! And no conditionality exists in any treaty anyway, but my point is, Greece doesn't violate any de-militarization clause because it was repealed.

@StoikMunzevi @Aontaithe2021 @ragipsoylu Why do Turks always pretend the Monteux Convention doesn't exist? The Montreux Convention Preamble replaced Lausanne Treaty Preamble (which is the part that mandated demilitarisation). It's the reason Turkey was allowed to re-militarise the straits and Turkish Aegean islands.
