Potatoes, carrots, lettuces, peas all planted. But the broad beans didn't survive the snow. One day, I'll remember to cover them up.
Lovely morning in the cold sun. Cleaned out hens, poked the ditches and leaned on the fence of the weedy veg patch dreaming of summer
A definite thaw this morning. A few showers of light snow but what is on the ground is melting. Might make it to Ely after all.
Bit snowed/iced in now. Only an inch on the ground but -5C. No school!
No snow here this morning. But it's still freeeezing.
Happy Christmas everyone from all of us at Place Farm!
SNOOOOOOOW!! http://yfrog.com/4euzugj Schools closed, M at home. Lovely!
Properly icy today. Feels like December.
Big red cross on the door. Ellie has flu, poor lamb.
Lovely weekend, even the wind and rain yesterday felt good.
Picked the last of the tomatoes and aubergines and cleared out the greenhouse. Lovely sunny morning for it, but cloud has now arrived.
Ground thoroughly wet now, so time to get planting. If I can find the energy.
Drizzly rain here today. Enough to wet the washing, but not fill the water butts. Need the soil damper to sow broad beans and onion sets.
Another perfect morning. Cucumbers finished now, but still lots of tomatoes to come.
Lovely weekend with Elisabeth and Margaret. September blows soft and warm, still.
