We are literally drowning in unnecessary plastic: specifically, single use plastic. Studies show we only use plastics like water bottles, grocery bags, coffee cups, straws for an average of six seconds before they are thrown away to sit in our landfills for decades to centuries

I have been in the plastics industry for over 40 years and for the last decade have been looking for alternatives to the environmental problems they create. The only thing I have found that makes any sense is mushrooms. I'm going with that

The cancer risks of estrogen in PETG bottles (replaced BPA polycarbonate) have been shown to accelerate cancer growth. Don't publish that that or Eastman Chemical will sue your ass off. Guess like roundup chemicals in plastics are safe until they aren't nutritionfacts.org/2020/07/02/are…

Very few biodegradable plastics actually degrade in the soil. And those that do only degrade in a narrow spectrum of soil conditions. There are hundreds of plastics and additives companies that use the biodegradable label to shill their "green" products with no oversight.
