Could #HurricaneHilary bring a severe flooding event to Playa Vista? Last year, researchers modeled what would happen. Here's how our community -- built on top of natural wetlands -- would fare in a 100-year flood. 1/8
Maybe it's obvious, but the remaining wetlands can still hold a ton of water. In this 100-year model, the deepest part of the wetlands are above waist deep and up to 6 feet. Venice is also under 4-5 feet of water. 2/8
