You could build a setup that keeps solar panels on the roof charging the pack during the day and then discharging while charging the R2 at night. It would take a bit to get where you're going though.
At this point, you’re not “a real car guy” if you aren’t at least curious about EVs. James May, Jay Leno, Richard Hammond, Lewis Hamilton, all daily drive them. They can have any car they want. There’s a reason for this.

Funny seeing all of the people complaining about how small the bed is. A typical crew cab truck today has a 5.5' bed and the @slateauto truck has a 5' bed. That's a whole 6" different guys, stop pretending that makes it unusable or "nOt A tRuCk". 🙄
