I wish someone would explain why Big Oil isn’t expected to sacrifice for the country that subsidizes them while they make record profits.
@PoliticusSarah Best answer: Citizens' United ruling gives corporations equal ability as US citizens to contribute to politicians, launching legal bribery. So, politicians take no action to restrict big oil from greedy profits while their constituents suffer financially. Stay strong and vote.
@PoliticusSarah @lacadri34 Good point. Why can’t they tread water for a year or two; instead of making a 45 billion dollar profit, how about giving us a break for literally once.
@PoliticusSarah As deplorable as big oil is it’s local retailers that are also price gouging. In Seattle I drove by a Shell station with reg at $5.37. A quarter mile down the road another Shell was at $4.99🤷♂️
@PoliticusSarah @TheTribune2020 Very good point and this is the only tweet I've seen that asks this question. I will do a similar post!
@PoliticusSarah Here’s the thing. Big Oil has big money and that money funds big lobbying. Pain is good. Thanks for being on the side of pain and not investigating us. We don’t sacrifice, what a laughable concept. That’s cute.
@PoliticusSarah Should have been a given… but no, What’s one more year of record profits???
@PoliticusSarah They have stock holders who wish gas was 10.00 a gal
@PoliticusSarah They are busy on the beach , they had a beach party last night after buying new loading Mercedes. They are counting cheddar. @exxonmobil @Chevron @bp_America
