90% of the roads are built on BOT model i.e built operate and transfer. Here private companies build the road in their own money and operate it and use toll revenues for profiteering. Here yor taxes have almost zero role.Just saying.

I have clearly talked about road here and not land being acquired which in Karnataka is shared 50% by both state and central governments. With that logic, it should have been joint development. Btw DPR cost is less than 1% of project cost.
@Power_monger By the way, the government is moving away from BOT to EPC model. 30 out of 50 packages of Delhi Mumbai expressway were built on EPC model, i.e, completely funded by government, other packages were built using a hybrid of EPC and BOT.
@Power_monger Who acquires the land and who pays for it?😂😂
@Power_monger Most of the projects were done on EPC or HAM in the last 10 years. Only recently government has identified some projects to do with BOT model. Initially some projects were tried for BOT but they failed due to permission issues and investors got spooked. Now they migh come back.
@Power_monger Correct no model works during UPA….but somehow works during NDA….golden quadrilateral was one of it too? And UPa needs tax money for freebies
@Power_monger One step above some roads are DBFOT too. State govt do the LA, NHAI just handling the administration that’s it. Not even a penny from Union govt account
@Power_monger Ok so who does pand acquisition? In these 90% of the cases?
@Power_monger wrong information. Please if you don't know just stay away.
@Power_monger NHAI invested Rs 8k crores to build this highway under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)
