He’ll seem soft, honest, even hurt, and you’ll feel the urge to prove you’re not like her. But be careful—sometimes that story isn’t healing, it’s unresolved pain. And instead of processing it, he may end up projecting it onto you.

I'm not about to spend my whole life pouring love, patience, loyalty, emotional labor, and understanding into someone that refuses to heal themselves😭 at some point you realize you can't save people who are comfortable bleeding on everyone around them while doing zero self reflection. Love should feel mutual, not like a full-time rehabilitation program.

Girl to girl at some point, you have to stop letting your depression win. You have to stop sitting in the same room, replaying the same thoughts, waiting for something to change. Nobody’s coming to save you, it’s on you to save yourself. Get up. Take a shower. Go for a walk. Work on that dream you’ve been putting off. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just start! You owe it to yourself to fight for a better version of you, even on the days when you don’t feel like it. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but every time you get up instead of giving up… that’s progress.

As independent as I am, I love to be babied 🥺. Acts of service are how I feel loved. I don’t care about money. Just lighten my load. I’m too prideful to ask for help 😭 but when you take the initiative to take things off my plate, I know you really see me 🩷.

I heard an old man say, “A man’s pride can make him lose a woman who only wanted to be loved the right way,” and that really sat with me. So many women aren’t asking for anything unrealistic. We’re not demanding perfection or a fantasy life. We’re asking for effort, honesty, consistency, reassurance, and respect. To be thought about. To be chosen. To feel secure and valued. But instead of hearing that, some men let ego, pride, and the need to always be right get in the way. And it’s wild how that can cost them a woman who was willing to grow alongside them, stand by them, communicate openly, and love them deeply. Sometimes it’s not that she expected too much—it’s that he couldn’t set his ego aside long enough to show up the way she needed and deserved.

My last relationship really opened my eyes. Going back again and again don’t mean nothing gon change. You can love harder, be more patient, give chance after chance, pray on it, wait on potential, and still end up right back where you started. Same problems. Same excuses. Same patterns. Same disappointment. I learned that effort don’t fix what someone refuses to change. At some point you gotta be honest with yourself. Hoping for a different outcome from the same situation is just delaying the lesson. Not everything is meant to be repaired. Some things only exist to teach you what you will and won’t tolerate. And once that lesson hit, you move different. You stop forcing, stop chasing, stop romanticizing struggle. That relationship didn’t just end, it shifted how I love, how I choose, and how I protect my peace.

Never again will I pretend to be the easygoing, low-maintenance girl. I like flowers & random acts of kindness I don't have to ask for. I like random "thinking of you" texts & sweet check-ins. I like forehead kisses & good morning texts. I like being taken on thoughtful dates I didn't have to plan. I like being shown off, like someone you're proud to have. I like affection, intentional time & little surprises. I like being loved loudly & I'm done shrinking myself to be “easier to love”. 🤍

One thing i’m mainly working on next year is my financial stability fr! I have to do better with money management!

Same thing happened to me, I moved my salary to another bank. I was inconvenienced by that.

@CapitecBankSA please explain to me why do I have to wait close to a month to get my license disc? I follow up everyday and no one is able to assist me. This is the most pathetic service I've ever received.

I hope I marry a man who is thoughtful & loving. Like Folding clothes when I'm exhausted. Washing the dishes after I cook. Making me breakfast when I'm tired. Sending me cute text & flowers when I'm having a bad day. Remembering my birthday and making it special for me. >>
