@CinemaSummer @HamskyHbb This is the most frankly post I'm seeing today.

Constantly identifying every single progress made is all that matters.

THE GIRL ACROSS THE FIELD After the day’s parade and instructions, the students dispersed toward their hostels. Adizat walked alone. She looked elegant in her military uniform, moving quickly because she did not want to exceed the time allowed for returning to the hostel. As she crossed the training field, something caught her attention. Ken. He was several metres away, still digging trenches. Then Ken looked up. Their eyes met. For a moment, everything else seemed to disappear. Ken stopped working. He became completely distracted by her presence. Then CRACK! A whip struck his head. “Wetin you dey look! You agbero boy! Common, dey go front!” Private Danzo’s voice brought him back to reality. The soldiers laughed. “He is carried away by her!” Another soldier laughed. “He saw a beautiful girl and forgot where he was.” Lance Corporal Chike shouted: “Use that blala to bring him back to his senses!” The laughter continued. Ken lowered his head and returned to work. Adizat hurried toward her hostel. But she was smiling.

THE LATE STUDENT Ken jumped out of the car, grabbed his bag and rushed toward the hostel. He dropped his belongings and hurried toward the parade ground. He was almost there when a voice stopped him. “Hey! Sabo!” Ken froze. He slowly turned. Sergeant Mona stood at the edge of the male lodge with three privates. “Sabo! Where do you think you’re going?” “Sabo” was the soldiers’ slang for an errant or late student. Ken considered running. Then he noticed the three privates surrounding him. He sighed and stood at attention. Sergeant Mona approached him. “You will learn how not to be late for parade.” He removed Ken’s beret and walked around him with his hands clasped behind his back. He inspected every part of the uniform. Other late students began emerging from the hostel. They were immediately rounded up. “Take off your khaki shirts and boots.” The students obeyed. Soon they were standing barefoot in their camouflage T-shirts and combat trousers. “You will do your parade with us the hard way.” The punishment began. The late students were ordered to march beneath the afternoon sun. They continued until the first set of classes had ended. “Sabo! You’re lucky the Commandant didn’t catch you,” one of the privates mocked. The students were then taken to the training ground. Their punishment continued through manual labor. They were divided into groups and assigned different tasks: Digging trenches, Constructing sand barriers, Filling sandbags for defensive positions, Clearing old trenches, Cleaning drainage systems. Ken worked without food. His stomach growled, but he kept digging.

THE JOURNEY TO SCHOOL “You’re already late for school, son. I just hope you make the parade,” Mr. Mike said as he drove. The school was approximately fifty kilometres from their home in New Haven Town. “Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll make it.” Ken leaned back in the seat. “We’re senior boys now. Unless the Commandant is already there.” “You know the RSM will discipline you for missing parade.” Ken shrugged. “Well, it’s the same punishment we’ve been getting since Martial One.” He stared through the window at the trees forming canopies along the road. The training at Military High School was notoriously demanding. The physical labor could be compared to a concentration camp, while the feeding was reputed to be fit for a presidential catering department. That was the philosophy behind the Hilltop system of complete military formation: Hard training. Proper feeding. Complete discipline. Students who wanted to continue into the regular army after graduation started from the lower ranks. Exceptional students could later attend Combat School for additional training. Those who successfully completed Combat School could become commissioned officers and unit commanders. But Ken had no intention of continuing his military career. He wanted to attend a regular institution and study medicine. That was his dream. Forty minutes later, they arrived. The parade had already started.

GOODBYE, AMANDA After breakfast, Ken walked into the living room dressed in his uniform. “Bye, Mum. Bye, Dad.” Mrs. Love looked proudly at her son. Ken kissed her goodbye. Then he turned toward Amanda. She was already crying. “I am going to miss you, Ken.” Ken hugged his younger sister. “Don’t worry. After this session, I’ll graduate and come back home, okay?” Amanda nodded, but the tears continued. Together with their mother, she followed Ken outside. Before he entered the car, Amanda held his hand. “I don’t want you to become a soldier. I’m afraid you will die in war.” Ken looked at her quietly. She was his only sister, and the bond between them was strong. “Promise me you’ll come back after graduation.” “I promise.” Ken embraced her tightly. It was generally known that students who graduated from the Military School and intended to join the army would undergo further testing and military assignments before entering the regular military structure as Staff Sergeants. Amanda knew that. And that was exactly what frightened her. Ken kissed her forehead. “Bye.” “Bye, Ken.” Mr. Mike started the car. Amanda remained outside, waving until the vehicle disappeared around the corner.

CONTINUATION The dining table was prepared quickly because everyone knew Ken was already late. Mr. Mike entered the bathroom and took a quick shower. While there, he called out to his wife for his shaving stick. Upstairs, Ken rushed toward his wardrobe. He pulled out his combat khaki and desert boots. Then he put on his green camouflage T-shirt beneath the combat uniform. Years of military training and weightlifting had given him a strong, athletic build, broad shoulders, and a solid chest. The uniform fit him well. He slipped into his combat trousers and short-sleeved camouflage shirt, which had two pockets on the chest and six bars on the shoulder indicating his years in military school. Ken was now a senior student. That alone made the new session slightly more exciting. Many of the senior boys who had graduated the previous year were gone, meaning there would be less labor and fewer orders from above. Ken looked like a young infantryman preparing for battle. Weapons were restricted to school camps, parades, and shooting-range exercises during their mock combat training. Ken was of average height, with a chocolate complexion, slightly long jaw, and curly hair. Beards were prohibited in the school, so he shaved regularly. His face was handsome, with dark curly eyelashes and a distinctive hooked nose. Despite his stern military appearance, Ken was gentle by nature. He was known throughout the school as a good guy. He defended younger students who were bullied by seniors and rarely allowed his military training to destroy his soft-hearted nature. Still, he was careful. And he didn’t tolerate nonsense.

CHAPTER THREE SCHOOL DAY 6:00 A.M. — SUN RISE CITY It was six o’clock in the morning. Sun Rise City, Niger-Land, was calm beneath the whistling of the early-morning harmattan breeze. The dry season had settled over the city, covering the streets in a quiet haze. Ken had left his bedroom windows half open. The standing fan he had switched on the previous night was spinning at full speed, filling the room with its familiar, noisy hum. The cool breeze coming through the windows mixed with the air from the fan, allowing Ken to sleep peacefully. Then the alarm rang. Ken pulled his thick duvet over his head, covering his ears as he tried to ignore reality. It was school day. After a fun-filled Christmas holiday, Hilltop Military School was resuming for a new session, and Ken was expected to report for the opening parade. The sun had risen before most of the traders along Odo Layout had even finished arranging their goods. Its rays slipped through the window blinds and fell across Ken’s room, reminding him that he was already late. Then came a heavy knock. “Ken!” It was Amanda, his younger sister. “Ken! Are you not going back to school?” Ken suddenly sprang out of bed. He looked at the clock. 7:00 A.M. “Damn!” He was supposed to have returned to school the previous day. But he had deliberately delayed his departure because he wanted to arrive on the same day as Adizat. Going back to school without seeing her would have made the beginning of the new session unbearably boring. He grabbed his towel, wrapped it around his waist, and rushed into the bathroom. Minutes later, he emerged and began throwing his belongings and provisions into his large khaki bag. Then he stopped. His eyes moved toward his uniform. Khaki or civilian clothes? Their official school uniform for lecture days was army khaki. On game days, usually Wednesdays, the students wore tracksuits with green camouflage T-shirts underneath. “Khaki” was the local jargon used for their green camouflage combat gear. Normally, Ken preferred returning to school on weekends without his khaki. It attracted less attention. In Hilltop Region, military personnel rarely moved around civilian streets in uniform. They remained within their bases unless there was an external threat, military operation, or revolution. Whenever civilians saw soldiers moving around in uniform, they became uneasy, wondering if something serious was about to happen. The Hilltop Military was particularly feared because of its reputation for strictness and brutality, although disciplinary rules existed to prevent soldiers from mistreating civilians. But because Ken was returning on a school day, he had no choice. He had to wear his uniform. “KEN!” “Ken! Ken!” Mr. Mike called from downstairs as he went outside to warm his car. “Dad, give me one minute! No, two minutes! I’m getting dressed!” Ken shouted. “It’s already seven. Hurry up. Let me drop you at school and go to the office. I have some very serious case files waiting for me.” The sound of his father’s footsteps approaching the stairs made Ken pack even faster. “Alright, Dad! I’m almost done. Give me ten seconds!” Mr. Mike turned back toward his room to get dressed for work. Downstairs, Mrs. Love had already begun preparing breakfast. Comfort, the family’s house help, was assisting with the morning chores.

THE END OF THE SERPENT Thunder rolled across the heavens. Lightning spread across the sky. The earth trembled. Then the ground opened. The ancient serpent disappeared beneath the earth. The sacrifice had been completed. The force of the event shook the forest. Trees fell. The earth cracked. Then silence returned. Otondo appeared beside the surviving warriors. He gathered them. In an instant, they vanished. They reappeared at the entrance of the forest. Otondo looked at them. “Go. Tell your children what you have witnessed. Tell your children’s children. And they will tell their descendants. Your story will travel through generations until it becomes legend.” He paused. “The Serpent Goddess has been weakened by Ogunmola’s sacrifice. It can no longer harm Zazau as it once did. The diamond will remain beneath the mountain for centuries. Until the reincarnation of Okeke returns and lays his destined hand upon it.” Otondo disappeared. For the first time in generations, peace returned to Zazau. The story of Ogunmola, the last great snake charmer, was passed from generation to generation. Children heard the story from their parents. Parents heard it from their parents. Eventually, the story became mythology. Then folklore. Then a fairytale. And as civilization advanced, roads and cities replaced the ancient forests. The old stories slowly faded from human memory. But deep beneath the ancient mountain, hidden from the modern world… the Red Diamond remained.

THE LAST WORDS OF OGUNMOLA Ogunmola looked at the warriors standing beside him. He remembered Diopa. “The lion of Zazau,” he said. “I will meet you again on the other side of existence.” He turned toward Ebube. “Ebube, the glory of Zazau. The Iron Bender. Who can withstand the force of your strike?” He embraced him. Then he looked toward Spiff. “In the land of our ancestors, I will tell them that I fought beside the legendary Spiff, the Arrow Dodger - the warrior whose skill terrified our enemies.” Spiff embraced him. For the first time, tears filled the warrior’s eyes. Finally, Ogunmola looked toward Otondo, who was still battling the serpent in the distance. “History will remember Otondo the Great. The man who wrestled with the seven gods of the sea. He is still fighting for us. I will tell our ancestors that I fought beside Otondo the Great.” Ogunmola turned toward the cave. He held the red diamond. Then he walked inside. And disappeared.

Davos Seaworth is the only man in the War of Five Kings whose loyalty was never about ambition, and the story treats that as almost suspicious because nobody else’s is.

Are We Destroying Our Teeth With Modern Living? Sometimes I wonder how our forefathers lived without many of the things we consider essential today. They did not have the modern toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash and dental products that we have today, yet we often hear stories of people living long lives with relatively healthy teeth. Today, tooth decay and other dental problems seem increasingly common. This makes me wonder: what exactly has changed? Is it the chemicals in the products we use? Is it because we don't brush our teeth often enough? Or is there something about our modern lifestyle that we are overlooking? The truth is that tooth decay is not a modern invention. People experienced dental problems long before modern toothpaste existed. However, our lifestyle has changed dramatically. We consume far more processed foods, sugary drinks, sweets and snacks than people traditionally did. Many people also eat several times throughout the day, constantly exposing their teeth to acids produced when bacteria break down sugars. At the same time, some people don't brush consistently, don't clean between their teeth and may not visit a dentist until they are already experiencing serious problems. Interestingly, modern toothpaste itself is not generally the enemy. Fluoride toothpaste, when used properly, helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. The commonly recommended routine is brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, rather than assuming that brushing three times a day will automatically prevent every dental problem. Perhaps the bigger lesson is that modern technology does not automatically mean a healthier life. We have developed better medicines, better dental products and better knowledge about oral health, but our diets and daily habits have also changed. Our forefathers may not have had modern dental products, but their diets and lifestyles were very different from ours. So instead of simply blaming toothpaste or modern chemicals, perhaps we should ask a deeper question: What are we putting into our bodies every day, and what habits are we developing that may be working against our health? Sometimes, the problem isn't one particular product. It is the entire lifestyle surrounding it.

Robb Stark had survived battles that should have ended his campaign. He had beaten armies, outmaneuvered commanders, and earned the title of King in the North. So when he arrived at the Twins, I don’t think he expected danger. He had broken his promise to Walder Frey, but he came back willing to apologize. He brought his mother, his wife, and his army. Then the feast began, The music played The Freys smiled, People drank, laughed, and celebrated. But something about the night never felt right. The atmosphere slowly changed. Then the doors closed. The music changed. And suddenly, Robb realized this was never a wedding feast. It was a trap. Do you think Robb could have seen it coming?

THE LAST JOURNEY Otondo led Ogunmola and the warriors toward the shrine of the goddess. He entered the shrine alone. The others waited outside. After performing ancient rites, Otondo returned carrying the red diamond wrapped in thick brown fabric. He handed it to Ogunmola. “Run!” Lightning flashed across the sky. The serpent was coming. Otondo moved first. Ogunmola followed. The warriors followed behind them. Before they could reach the forest leading toward the great river, the serpent appeared. Otondo immediately transported them to the entrance of the Evil Forest. But the serpent was waiting for them. It struck. Two warriors fell. Otondo summoned thunder from the heavens. Lightning crashed around the creature. But the serpent continued advancing. “Take the diamond to the cave at the foot of the mountain!” Otondo shouted. “Make the sacrifice!” Otondo raised his Mkpara. Thunder surrounded him as he fought to hold the creature back. “Ebube!” The warrior turned. “Go with Ogunmola!” The warriors attacked with everything they carried. Spears. Daggers. Arrows. Swords. Nothing could overcome the creature’s supernatural protection. Only Otondo’s thunder could slow it. Ogunmola summoned the wind. It carried him toward the mountain. Ebube and two other warriors followed. They reached the cave. Ogunmola stopped. He turned toward the battlefield. He knew this was his final moment.

I managed to reach peak adult humiliation today by locking myself out of my office building during lunch. In the middle of September. Wearing mismatched socks, while holding a half-eaten tuna sandwich. I stood outside the glass doors frantically doing the "frantic body-pat" in front of four oncoming pedestrians, realizing my phone, badge, and dignity were all sitting on my desk.

In GAME OF THRONES, Ned Stark’s downfall wasn’t just because Cersei betrayed him, In a way, Ned helped create the situation that put his entire family in danger. He knew Joffrey’s legitimacy was questionable,He knew the Lannisters were dangerous, He even received warnings from people who understood how King’s Landing really worked. Yet Ned still chose to confront Cersei openly. That decision exposed his plans, gave his enemies time to react, and left his children vulnerable. The darkest part is that Ned wasn’t wrong about the truth, He was wrong about what truth could accomplish in a world where power mattered more than principles. His honor didn’t make him weak. His refusal to compromise made him predictable.

Jon Snow didn’t turn against Daenerys because he suddenly stopped loving her, that’s what makes the ending so disturbing. After King’s Landing, Jon finally understood something terrifying, Daenerys wasn’t planning to stop. Her speech made it clear that she believed her vision justified what had happened, and she intended to reshape the world through that same authority. Tyrion didn’t make the decision for Jon, He simply forced Jon to confront what he already feared. Jon knew that if Daenerys remained queen, countless people could eventually suffer for her idea of a “better world.” So Jon chose the realm over the woman he loved. But was Jon protecting the people, or did he simply become the final piece in Daenerys’ downfall?

@DominusApeh @TeamRenewNaija Very true! I hope they listen tho.
