Imagine a woman who has never had #5 million in her account coming out to broke shame men, and I don't see any woman try to defend me. But bodyshame a woman, and you'll see stupid men coming out to defend women..... These are the same women they are defending.. The same women who broke shame them anyhow. At the end of the day, 90% of Nigerian men are cowards. No wonder they're seeing shege in their marriage.

Thank you, sir. It's good that someone as respected as you are, is speaking up against the evil APC government. Making us a mockery to the rest of the world. His advisers will never show him that video. The Edo state governor will lie to him that he will deliver 2.5m for him. Our politicians do not have conscience. It's dead and buried. If the country wants to burn, let it burn. They don't care. Very wicked people.

I saw a trending video of a group of Nigerians in Edo State scooping rice from a watery gutter, and I almost shed tears. The state of the nation has left so many people poor and hungry that they no longer care about their dignity. This was not the Nigeria I envisioned when I was

I'd probably have died on 23 December 2008, or ended up in jail for manslaughter. I was a young man who had just learnt to drive. I was so excited and eager to show off my driving skills. One day, I took the car keys and told my parents I wanted to turn the car around in the compound. That was a lie. I drove out. The road had recently been graded, and chippings had been spread over it without being tarred. If you swerved or applied the brakes carelessly, your tyres could lose traction. Barely had I left the house when the car began swerving from side to side. I was heading straight for an electric pole. I slammed on the brakes and swerved in the opposite direction. Big mistake. I lost control. The car skidded violently across the road towards a culvert in front of a church. Fortunately, someone had dug sand out of the gutter and heaped it along the edge. The front tyre plunged into the heap, stopping the car just before it could overturn. The screeching tyres sent people running in every direction. I was dazed. Smoke and dust filled the air. The headlamps and horn were all on simultaneously. For a moment, I was in shock. Am I dead? Did I hit someone? Did I run anyone over? A thousand thoughts raced through my mind. My dad arrived shortly afterwards. When he realised I was okay, he welcomed me with two resetting slaps. The car had a punctured tyre, but I was alive, and I didn't kill anyone. Later that day, my parents wanted to take me to the hospital for a check-up to rule out internal injuries. I refused. That incident killed my excitement for driving. For a while, I avoided the steering wheel altogether. Looking back, I realise how easily youthful overconfidence could have turned an ordinary day into a tragedy. Sometimes, the difference between a funny story you tell years later and a tragedy that changes several lives is just a few seconds.
