This Nilfisk BA651 shows what neglected maintenance can look like: blocked debris tray dirty recovery tank squeegee bar caked in dried dirt Very preventable with basic pre/post-use checks and regular servicing. Poor upkeep = poor performance and avoidable repair costs.

A machine service should be more than a quick clean and checking that it switches on. 🔧 Blockages, worn castors and poor electrical connections can all be developing while equipment is still working. The aim: spot the next problem before it becomes the next breakdown.

There’s some very worrying graffiti appearing around Scotland… 👀Apparently a floor buffer in Glasgow hasn’t had its squeegee blades changed since COVID. We can neither confirm nor deny the allegation. 📷Commercial cleaning equipment servicing & repairs across Scotland.

Scrubber dryer leaving water behind? 💧 Don't condemn the vacuum motor just yet. Check the squeegee blade for wear, trapped debris and poor floor contact — and check the recovery hose for blockages. Sometimes the simplest fault causes the biggest symptoms. #CleaningEquipment

Getting the machine running again doesn’t mean it’s been repaired properly. ⚡ This taped electrical connection was found inside commercial cleaning equipment after a previous repair. Electrical work should be done properly by someone competent. #CleaningEquipment

A machine doesn’t have to be broken to have a problem. 🔧 Worn components, loose connections, blocked filters and damaged hoses can develop while equipment is still working. Regular servicing can catch the small faults before they become the big breakdowns. #CleaningEquipment

The machine worked — but it still wasn’t safe. ⚡ This floor buffer failed PAT/EET testing. The fault was traced to a wire trapped under a fixing screw during a previous cable repair. Hidden faults aren’t always obvious. Proclean Engineering #PATTesting #CleaningEquipment

The machine kept moving. The wheel didn’t. 🔧 Debris seized this scrubber-dryer castor, so continued use dragged the wheel across the floor until it wore away. A small fault that routine maintenance could have caught early. #CleaningEquipment #Engineering #Scotland

A loose battery connection became a major repair on this ride-on scrubber dryer. Heat damage eventually affected the battery cables, batteries and drive controller. Routine maintenance can catch small faults before they become expensive ones. 🔧 #Engineering #CleaningEquipment

If your machine starts screaming, it’s probably trying to tell you something. 🔧 This vac motor came from a carpet shampooer that continued to be used despite the noise. Eventually it failed and needed replaced. Early attention can prevent a bigger repair bill. #Engineering
