For dumb & dumber, and not an option for Australians. Govt has ordered 7700 doses for the whole country. In the US, antibody treatment costs $2000 (for those who can get it) the vaccine <$50. They Shunned Covid Vaccines but Embraced Antibody Treatment nytimes.com/2021/09/18/hea…
@ProfPCDoherty It’s crazy. Our antivaxxers let Covid shred their organs until they think they will die, then they all get regeneron mAb. The glaring lack of insane conspiracy theories concerning mAb make me theorize that the conspiracy theories are a conspiracy to sell monoclonal antibodies. :)
@ProfPCDoherty Given the two things aren’t the same it’s not a comparison really.
@ProfPCDoherty They reject vaccines because of "ingredients".... Please correct me if I'm wrong, but has anyone told them that mABs are made with (rabbit?) cancer cells?! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoclona… They just want it because Trump had it, and accept needles as a therapy but not preventative.
@ProfPCDoherty Sounds like single payer healthcare works then! Your country and it’s culture absolutely voted for “7700 doses” because that’s all single payer healthcare can afford.
@ProfPCDoherty I never understood that. Why would anyone refuse a prophylactic injection but happily take an injectable treatment with lower efficacy? Risking contracting the actual disease with an unknown outcome? Andrew Wakefield and his mob have a lot to answer for methinks. 😕
@ProfPCDoherty How many more days to vaccinate every Australian, Doc?
