దేశంలోని రాజ్యాంగబద్ధ సంస్థల విశ్వసనీయతను దెబ్బతీసే రాజకీయ ఆరోపణలపై 42 మంది మాజీ న్యాయమూర్తులు వ్యక్తం చేసిన ఆందోళనను కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ, ముఖ్యంగా రాహుల్ గాంధీ గమనించాలి. ‘In Defence of Our Constitutional Institutions’ పేరుతో విడుదల చేసిన బహిరంగ లేఖలో ఎన్నికల సంఘం, న్యాయవ్యవస్థపై ఆధారాలు లేని ఆరోపణలు చేయడం, ప్రజల్లో వాటి పట్ల అపనమ్మకం సృష్టించడం ప్రజాస్వామ్యానికి ప్రమాదకరమని వారు హెచ్చరించారు. రాజ్యాంగ సంస్థలను ప్రశ్నించడం రాహుల్ గాంధీకి ఉన్న ప్రజాస్వామ్య హక్కు. కానీ ఎన్నికల అధికారులను దొంగలుగా, రాజకీయ పార్టీల చేతిలో కీలుబొమ్మలుగా చిత్రీకరించడం, ప్రభుత్వం మారితే చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హెచ్చరించడం వంటి ధోరణులపై మాజీ న్యాయమూర్తులు వ్యక్తం చేసిన అభ్యంతరాలను తీవ్రంగా పరిగణించాలి. ముఖ్యంగా యువతలో ఎన్నికల వ్యవస్థపై నమ్మకం సన్నగిల్లడం దేశ ప్రజాస్వామ్య భవిష్యత్తుకు మంచిది కాదు. ‘ఓట్ల చోరీ’ వంటి తీవ్రమైన ఆరోపణలు చేసినప్పుడు వాటికి ఆధారాలు చూపించాల్సిన బాధ్యత కూడా ఉంటుంది. మీడియా సమావేశాల్లో ఆరోపణలు చేయడం కంటే, ఎన్నికల సంఘం ముందు, న్యాయస్థానాల్లో ఆధారాలను సమర్పించడం సరైన మార్గం. రాజకీయ పార్టీల మధ్య విభేదాలు సహజం. కానీ రాజ్యాంగ సంస్థల స్వతంత్రతను, ప్రజల విశ్వాసాన్ని కాపాడుకోవాల్సిన బాధ్యత అందరిపైనా ఉంది. ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియను ప్రశ్నించండి.. కానీ ఆధారాలతో ప్రశ్నించండి. ప్రజాస్వామ్య వ్యవస్థలపై ప్రజల విశ్వాసం దెబ్బతినకుండా వ్యవహరించండి.
