We must NOT forget that youth sport is the most critical part of our coaching & sporting legacy. We as adults have a responsibility to cultivate it for future generations. ✳️Please nurture it carefully: for without healthy grassroots, our sport/clubs will simply wither & die✳️

Adults/parents/coaches/clubs/academies - we must seriously consider the evidence & implications of early specialisation in youth sport. It's not about you - it's about the futures of those you coach. Period.

In an age where computer games have given society the belief that achievement & success can be instant, we need to consider how best to educate some kids/parents that sport is about long term development not short term attainment.......

Parents/coaches/clubs - don't forget that kids develop skills and abilities at very different rates. So the development of talent is therefore NOT linear! Think carefully about the kids you engage with & think inclusion not exclusion. #AllAboutTheIndividual
