PROJECT 6 I Community @Project6onsol

ONE FINAL DAY. THE FINISH LINE IS IN SIGHT! 🛶🌍 Over 700km through one of the most remote rainforests on Earth. From endless days paddling the Sangha River to storms, exhaustion, unexpected setbacks and some incredible encounters with wildlife and communities along the way. This journey has tested us in ways we never imagined, but it’s also given us memories and experiences that will stay with us forever. Tomorrow, we take on the final stretch of the Sangha River. What started as an ambitious idea is now so close to becoming a reality. One final push. One final challenge. Let’s finish what we started! 💪🔥 PROJECT 6: THE CONGO BASIN 🇨🇬

SOMEWHERE ON THE SANGHA RIVER…🛶 Early mornings out here can feel like another world. Mist hanging over the river, rainforest stretching as far as you can see, and nothing but the sound of the water as we paddle on. For all the challenges this expedition has thrown at us, moments like these are a reminder of just how special the Congo Basin is. Project 6. Tomorrow we should reach the end, One kilometre at a time. 🌍

16+KM TO THE NEXT BEND! 🛶🌍 One of the biggest challenges out here isn’t always the heat, wildlife or storms. Sometimes it’s the sheer size of the Sangha River. Imagine paddling for hours, looking ahead and seeing nothing but one long straight stretch of water. The next bend can be more than 16km away! It’s as much a mental challenge as a physical one. But every paddle stroke takes us a little closer. The finish line is tomorrow. Project 6 continues! 💪

NIGHT WATCH IN THE CONGO BASIN! 🐊🌑 Once the sun goes down, the rainforest takes on a completely different feel. We’ve already seen some incredible wildlife on this expedition, and this close-up of a crocodilian is another reminder of what’s living around the Sangha River. Between the insects, the noises and everything else out here, there’s never a dull moment at camp! Project 6 — even the nights are an adventure. ⛺

WE WANT YOU AT THE FINISH LINE WITH US! 🔴🛶🌍 After 700+km of paddling through the Congo Basin, countless challenges, storms, wildlife encounters and days without communication… we’re almost there! Tomorrow, we take on the final stretch of the Sangha River! We’re doing everything we can to restore power and get the Starlink working so we can hopefully bring you along for the final kilometres LIVE on TikTok and YouTube! Nothing is ,guaranteed out here, but after everything we’ve been through, we’d love nothing more than to share that final moment with you all. Turn on notifications. One final push. Let’s finish Project 6 together! 💪🔥

@AshDykes The jungle can test your limits, but it can never break your spirit! 💪🌍...it's instiring.

UPDATE FROM THE CONGO BASIN! 🛶🌍

We saw monkeys as we were paddling down, they were swinging from branches on the bank next to us!

The legend @ash_dykes has completed his mission f Source to sea in one of the most uncharted areas of the world Here's what he's said: "WE DID IT!!!!!! We just created history, achieved a world first record, by becoming the first to kayak from source to sea of the Coppename River, here in Suriname, the Amazon!!!! 600km, 37 days, the greenest country on the planet with over 94% jungle coverage and certainly one of the most stunning countries l've had the honour to travel through. It's been unbelievably difficult, from pulling the 50kg kayaks upstream, hacking through the jungle covering sometimes 600m in a day! Stings, bites, infections, dehydration, sleep deprivation, starvation, heat exhaustion and no sign of people in over a month. We truly became the wild, adapted, survived and thrived in one of the most difficult environments on the planet, to set out and achieve what many said was impossible. I'm so proud of us as a team @wallace_untamed, @unlockwildlife, @jacobhudsn and it was an honour to battle through and experience this with you ❤️ A personal thanks to @ftwglobal whom I wouldn't have been able to do this without To @unlocknature.tours for organising all the logistics To @viasat & @globalsat who allowed me to share the journey live time. To Suriname and the people here who have made it so special. And finally to all of YOU for your support, I appreciate you all so much Mission accomplished ✔️”
