We want to @ChiPubSchools to set aside enough funds to build an age-appropriate playground in time for the beginning of SY23! We also want CPS to replace the unsafe modulars and put down a new blacktop.

Yes! The modulars at Scammon are falling apart. Heat, A/C, exterior locks, bathrooms are all in disrepair. Scammon is NOT slated for modular replacement this year. #InvestInScammon

We've learned that Scammon will NOT use the modular buildings for class during the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you to administration for protecting Scammon students and teachers! We hope that CPS will take notice and permanently replace the modulars. #InvestInScammon

Ate dinner now listening to public comment. A few teachers say increased staffing should be in the budget & is a good use of fed funds to support students. (Yep.) Now Scammon ES parents are speaking about facility investments needed & #CPSPlaygroundsSoBroke.
